By rest I mean let them play for 20 mins or so, but no reason for 35 mins anymore. Let them play a few mins a quarter but the #1 seed is locked up.

They can play 35 mins in last 2 games if they want to

Bron needs to get his rhythm back. He's nowhere near playoff Bron atm imo. He's got some work to do.

He really has to play imo

AD isn't in shape. Most of the players says Lebron still need to get into basketball shape, and even Lebron needs to get back into rhythm. These games are important to prepare for the playoffs

Rest? They haven't played in 4 months. These games are clearly needed to get a rhythm back.

Not a minute cap? I can agree with. 32.

It's actually the opposite. They just had four months of rest, lol. We have a lot of playoff teams on the remaining regular season schedule, so keep going hard and send a message, while still being able to get in tip top shape for the postseason.

You guys just saw how thin our margin for error is and we got a tough schedule ahead.

Maybe the last couple games or once the top seed is locked we can nurse them or alternate games off so we have at least one available all times. But need to rebuild that stamina and get their legs back.

No they have to play. Two weeks to fix some of this sloppiness. They’ll be ok

I'd say keep em around 30 mpg, dont push em too hard, but they need to make sure they get their rhythm back, especially Bron

28 mpg for LeBron and 32 for AD. Get them in rhythm, in game shape, and back on the same page.

Unless they are injured, they should play.
Maybe less minutes but they need to get in playoff shape.

Weird that Zion had 4 months to rest and he's still not right.
One wonders if they have an emerging Oden situation.

That’s ideal to get them into rhythm. I think it time to run PNR plays and play 2 man game more to get them into a second gear at least before the playoff.

Young big men with leg/ankle/knee/foot issues never seem to get right.

I don't see why they need rest. They haven't played in months, and the playoff schedule doesn't have many back to backs. I think the team needs to focus on getting their rhythm back.

He has got the same knock-kneed problem Bynum had and whereas he doesnt yet have someone bashing into his knees like Kobe and Odom did to Bynum, he also has bad bone structure to support a heavy weight. Barkley at least had a great frame to support that weight. Anyone expecting Zion to play a long time is fooling themselves.

They literally just got back from 4 months rest. It's time to get them into playoff rhythm. The more minutes the better.

Fully disagree with this. They are professional athletes and they just had 4 month of rest. To rest them for what. Its 7 more games before PO. Now its the time to get into rhythm of playing and to sort out the rotation with two new players. OK play them less I agree but not less than 25 minutes and especially not to leave them out if they are fully healthy. It makes no sense.

Nah, they need to gain rythm for the playoffs. At most I would rest LeBron or AD against the Thunder and the other one against the Rockets to avoid back to back games.

Also, limit their minutes to 25-30 per game.

Extended rest is pointless in this Orlando bubble situation. Just sit them on that back to back we have. It's not like they'll be at home with their families if they're not playing. In this situation, playing is better than rest (also, they just went a big period without playing. They're not banged up and actually need to get back to speed).

Who knows what the right amount of rest is going to be. Such an odd circumstance with this time off, 8 game warmup and right into the playoffs.

Both teams looked out of sync. I’m assuming most teams will be similar after so much time off. Going to be interesting to see which players and teams will be able to quickly get and more importantly stay “locked in” and focused over the next couple months. It would not surprise me to see an unexpected team or two make runs because they come together quicker.

One thing that came out of last nights game is how razor thin the Lakers margin for winning is going to be. Lakers need both stars to play like stars every night for heavy mins to carry the supporting cast through this playoff run. And any additional injuries could be the difference.

Not sure they will have the luxury of “rest” at all once they get past the next 7 games.
