I may have been wrong. She may have been on that Hill show by the time she was on Maher. I can appreciate progressives speaking on the merits of progressive party.
But when it comes to lumping the Democratic party as a whole with Republicans. That's a conversation so disingenuous. It isn't worth having. And it encourages voter apathy (something the higher ups at the Hill want).

FWIW, Bill Maher is a Democrat who does something equally as dumb. When he spends all show complaining about lefties on Twitter criticizing him and college kids expressing their freedom of speech. And somehow that's excuses Republicans. Because in a world where the PC police and "social justice warriors" are out to get you, Republicans had no where else to turn but Trump.

So are you saying Rising is basically just a plot to lower voter turnout among left-wing voters? Why would a news outlet spend money on such an operation?

Jimmy Finkelstein (Hill owner) has been friends with Trump for decades. His wife Pamela Gross was Melania's "advisor" for several of the last few years.

Right— but I’m asking what the end goal here is. Krystal criticizes Trump as well, so it isn’t really a program to convert Democratic voters to Trump ones. And I doubt they’re making much money off of it.

Are you saying Finklestein is funding a program for the sole purpose of reducing turnout among leftist voters? Seems like a bad use of money.

Yes. That's what I'm saying. And Fink can afford to lose a couple dollars, especially if it serves some of his other interests.

Krystal criticizes both sides.
Fox News has 1 side of the argument (Trump is perfect). Another way to help the current President is to attack things from the other end and say, "the D party isn't what they say they are".

Republicans don’t expect the far left to support the GOP. They are just hoping to splinter it from the democratic coalition, which is the same thing for their purposes. So on a show like that, they are preaching to both choirs and attacking the position in between.
