Yeah I don’t know if we can sweep Cinci in Cinci but boy are they playing bad right now.

Also don’t see the Braves taking any games @ San Fran.

Whaaaa?

Braves took 2 of the 3 from them just a few weeks ago.

After they throw Webb tomorrow, they likely have a bullpen game Saturday and then Desclafani Sunday while the Braves are throwing out: Ian Anderson, Charlie Morton and Max Fried so they definitely have a good shot at taking a game or two.

Yeah, and it's good for us that they only have a 3.5 game lead. They can't take anything for granted. They need to win.

I am prepared for Giants magic in every series and game they play in. That’s all.

A game 163 in SF is less than desirable. Dodgers need to win the division outright. With the Giants facing Atlanta this weekend, this is probably our best chance to pick up ground.

If we finish this weekend ahead of the Giants, I’ll be confident we can hold the lead. If we finish the weekend tied, we should still have a good chance. If we finish the weekend still behind them, we'll have a chance, but we may need a near perfect record the rest of the way.

Speaking of magic, there is a very real chance we face the Cardinals and their devil magic in the WC game. Hoping we finally exorcise those demons should that be the case.

Biggest difference is that this time Joe Kelly is on our side.

Imagining Pujols with a go-ahead homer puts a smile on my face

Kevin GOOSman's, I mean Kevin Gausman's ERA is now 4.12 after MLB's crackdown on sticky stuff. It was at 1.51 before.

Crazy to think there's living breathing human beings that believe the Giants weren't negatively impacted by the crackdown. #Dodgers

Gausman getting knocked around for four runs in five innings and now has a 4.77 second half ERA. Me thinks the Giants are feeling the pressure now, God bless em.

If we need Pujols to hit a go ahead homer in the WC game then that game is too close for my comfort. (I’m imagining Pujols doesn’t start and is only used as a pinch hitter in the late innings).

Lux was scratched tonight with a forearm injury. That's too bad he was starting to get into a groove.

Castillo has 99 tonight and is dealing, getting his strikeouts with the changeup mostly. Buehler has hit 97. Scoreless so far.

Castillo is like 3-200 this year but of course, he puts up 6 scoreless against us. Not looking good but we still have 9 outs to play with.

He had a rough start, but has been on fire since then. You can't look at his ERA, his pitches were filthy tonight.

And this right here is a prime example of why we should fear a one game WC.

Our offense will basically do jack for 7 innings, while our stud pitcher will be human for like 2 batters and we'll lose 2-0

Bellinger was up 3-0 in the count leading off the inning, and ended up striking out on a 3-2 changeup that would've been ball 4. It's difficult to imagine how awful he is. And he'll still probably continue to play even when Pollock gets back.

At least we got Castillo out after 6.1, as Beaty singled to knock him out. Taylor PH'ing for Buehler.

Two flyouts to the track by Taylor and Betts end the inning. Not looking good.

-Yeah it’s not the same Walker Buehler to me. This one requires more control and lately he hasn’t had control, hence the walks.

-Same streaky Dodgers offense huh? Can’t hit decent pitching hut feasts on bad pitching so our numbers look good?

I thought it was a good outing for Buehler overall. The two walks were both to Votto and it looked to me like he was pitching him carefully because Moustakas was hitting behind him, who was VERY late on the fastball. The Farmer double that scored two was not hit hard, and 44-year-old me would have held that to a one RBI hit instead of 2, that's how slow Beaty is.

That said, I do agree that he doesn't have the stuff that Scherzer has right now.

We've had so many warning track outs...I can't imagine what our offensive stats would look like with the prev. year's baseballs.
