If we get AD back I think we get at least one of those Mavs games which should be enough to keep them behind us. With Lebron in those last 10 games or so I think it’s highly likely we can get to 4-5 and avoid that first round series with the Clippers

The lakers will finish 4th or 5th even if AD and LeBron sit out the rest of the regular season. Literally no reason to worry about seeding or missing the playoffs. Once the playoffs get started, I can’t see the Lakers finishing any worse than 16-2 on their way to another title.

Like your optimism. But how do you arrive at the conclusion we are gong 16-2 to won another championship?

Even before ad and lebron went down there were issues. Plus they will he rusty when back. Team needs to gel for a bit.

I do think all the rest for lbj is going to pay dividends.

Go Lakers!

Because I can’t think of a team in the league that looked impressive against them. Nobody shoots well against them, nobody gets to the free throw line against them, and no one capitalizes when the lakers are sluggish. No matter how badly they play, they’re always within a possession or two.

When the Lakers lose, it’s usually when they’re missing guys or just seem extremely bored/disinterested. They’re clearly not going all out to win for every regular season but if they ever decide to turn it up, they typically put games out of reach in just a few minutes.

Warriors is climbing up. That team has the potential to upset any team in the play-in.

Steph is always a threat to win any single game. Just make sure you are 7 or 8 and have to lose to 2 different teams to miss the playoffs.

Maybe in one game. But Curry/Oubre/Green/Wiggins won’t win a playoff series.

to many games in to short a time frame, along with to short of an offseason

We're seen a lot of injuries to guys that played deep into the playoffs last year.

A lot of people were predicting this before this super shortened season even began

If Mitchell will be out for weeks, I think they will go down to the #3 spot. Suns will go up to #1 and Flippers to #2.

The Blazers win comes without Lillard.

You have to win fair share of games when your stars are out. The Lakers have to win more than they are...otherwise they will be in 7th or 8th. This isn’t the pathetic East.

What are you talking about? They Lakers have won more than their share of games ,and they were missing 2 stars and a bunch of role players.

They didnt won against wiining teams other than Nets. How would you expect them to maintain their spot if their reamining schedule is one of the tougher sched left.

Beating (and losing) to lottery teams and a win against the Nets is not exactly their fair share of wins imo. They need more, especially if it’s only AD until early May.

Doesn't look intentional to me, his momentum, plus if you look at his eyes, he was constantly looking at the other end of the court tracking his pass. He seems oblivious to his surrounding. Seem like an accident to me.

Yup, barely winning against lottery team is not enough for them holf on to top 6 spot. They need to win against .500 teams.

Not looking doesn't mean not intentional, I can intentionally trip someone even without looking. Pachulia was looking up when he injured kawhi.

True, which is exactly why I said PLUS. Not looking alone probably doesn't convince me, but it's the momentum of his body... plus! Pachulia was a known dirty player too. Anyway, if it's intentional, the league will handle it. Base on the video, I don't think they can conclusively say it's intentional.

Definitely wasn't intentional, he was throwing a length of the court pass, of course his leg is going to come forward like that. Its a natural motion, one I've seen multiple times on baseball passes, or even full court shots.

Crappy injury for Donovan, but it doesn't mean it was intentional. I doubt he misses more than a week. They may hold him out longer just to be safe, which might actually be best considering they're not battling to stay in the playoff hunt.
