With 16 games remaining in the regular season, I'm looking at the Lakers schedule in four separate, four game sets. If they can somehow finish 12-4 (split the next four, sweep the following four, split the third set of four and sweep the final four), that would get them to a final record of 46-26, which I believe would land them either the 4th or 5th seed in the playoffs.

Perhaps this is overly optimistic right now, but if we can endure this ongoing injury bug and get LBJ, AD3 & AD2 (along with Dennis, Kuz & Kieff healing up) back over the next couple of weeks it's definitely feasible. Davis could return between the Utah + Dallas doubleheaders, while Donovan Mitchell could miss both matchups for the Jazz as well. In addition, the 2nd + 4th sets of games are all against very winnable opponents, whereas the 1st + 3rd sets will be much tougher as they are all against playoff-bound Western Conference teams (with one of them being our inevitable 1st Round matchup).

4/17: vs. Utah
4/19: vs. Utah
4/22: @ Dallas
4/24: @ Dallas

4/26: @ Orlando
4/28: @ Washington
4/30: vs. Sacramento
5/2: vs. Toronto

5/3: vs. Denver
5/6: @ LA Clippers
5/7: @ Portland
5/9: vs. Phoenix

5/11: vs. New York
5/12: vs. Houston
5/15: @ Indiana
5/16: @ New Orleans

It’s looking like the top 3 seeds are set.

Jazz, Suns and Clippers. Jazz and Suns could potentially flip, but looks like the Clippers will be 3rd seed.

I think Jazz will go 3rd without Mitchell.

14 losses. 5 ahead of the Clippers in the loss column. They still have enough and their schedule is easy I think.

We can pretty much close this out if we can beat the Mavs. Those will be critical.

But stealing this win against the Jazz unexpectedly was huge.

We're 2 losses back from Denver and if we pass them would be the 4th seed.

Getting back to that 4th seed would be incredible.

Denver’s schedule is pretty tough but I would be surprised if the Lakers pass them.

Especially since we have no clue where Davis and James return in this 15 game stretch. And just how they integrate back into the lineup and how long the team chemistry and efficiency to be at a high level.

Doubt either just hop right back into the lineup playing a dominating 35 mins per game. It will take adjustment.

He will still out against the Lakers, they better capitalize on this one again, don't let slip away like what almost happened earlier. Just get the freaking win!!!

Wouldn't worry about Warriors or Spurs, our superstar reinforcements are only a week or two away from cementing Lakers in top 5-6

Grizz actually playing well.

Doesn't really matter if we're at full strength no team in the West scares us. It's the East that's worrisome

No they won't. Same pattern as last year. They're good, and looking great at the moment, especially w/Rondo.

We get our frontline back healthy for the last month or so and we'll take on anybody, including your Clips.....I guess.
