Clips will wax the Lakers

Would be the first time in history.

The Lakers certainly aren’t afraid of the Clippers. The only discussion is would it be advantageous for the Clippers to get the Lakers in the 1st round while Lebron and AD are still getting back and ramping up and while Kawhi is more fresh.

The only real issue is having a Lakers/Clippers series in the first round if Lebron and AD aren’t quite at peak.

It really doesn’t matter. They’re going to easily beat all four teams no matter what the order is.

They’re winning half their games and are at least competitive with every team WITHOUT LeBron and AD. That’s a playoff team. Now they’re going to be adding the MVP and another all-NBA player back to the lineup. It’s over.

with the current standings - right where we are at (4th/5th)

here's a pretty good writeup of why
https://lakeshowlife.com/2021/04/16/los-angeles-lakers-standings-perfect-playoffs/

all of that is subject to change of course if seeds #1-3 change positions.

I want to see the Slippers in the 2nd round or WCF when #2's thigh has broken down and Pandemic P's confidence is rattled.

Incredible if both those scores hold up.

Apparently good to live a charmed life. Lakers getting some much needed breaks to avoid the 7th seed. Just keep them coming.

Looking similar to last year. A 10 game tune up to get ready for the playoffs.

Charlotte holds off the Blazers. Kings trying to do the same against the Mavs.

Clippers team is made of glass with no heart. If they have the privilege of facing us in the first round, we will beat the brakes off of them.

I’m not sure if I’m the only 1 who is super suspicious that the Mavs and Blazers lost to teams they should have beaten, any chance they are trying to avoid a team in the 1st round?

IG, Luka scored 21 pts. In the 4th quarter. I don't think he is trying to lose...

That's what I am thinking too, especially the Mavs, because if they win those easy games which they have more to come, they might go up to 5th spot, especially that Denver with jamal out will probably go down, and they might end up against the Lakers in the first round, or if they end up 6th, they will probably be against the Flips.

Fantastic weekend for the team...nice win v Jazz, then Blazers and Mavs lose. Help always appreciated.

Hopefully the fellas pull out another W tomorrow.

A nice dessert would be a Clippers L.

Clips will wax the Lakers

The only way the Clippers could wax us is if they’re lucky enough to face the Lakers with Lebron and AD hobbled or out entirely. If those two guys get back to 100, there’s very little chance the Clippers would be able to win a seven game series, let along “wax” the Lakers.

Playoff Rondo is older, and their top guys (Pandemic P and Kawhi) are both facing injury issues. Not to mention PG has done absolutely nothing in the playoffs in his entire career outside of the moral victory of taking LeBron to seven games when he was with the Pacers. Kawhi has won championships when the other side was decimated with injuries, or he had numerous HoFers on his team.

I'll take a healthy Lakers squad over the Clippers even in round one. Clips might take the first game, and the Lakers will gentleman's sweep them.
