I also really like The Wilshire in Santa Monica. Good, fresh regional cooking in season.

Lola's and Mamita's (both on Brand in Glendale) are good too although they are both a little inconsistent.

Whats your favorite place to eat , by that i dont mean , oh i like to eat at jack in the box , but i mean oh i like to eat at the jack in the box infront of PCC if that makes sense.

For me its Conos on Washington in Pasadena , if you've never eaten Conos , and live in LA , i feel sorry for you.

Bandera.

But as with any restaurant, you've got to know what to get. At Bandera, the prime-rib french dip sandwich is awesome. The bread tastes like Yorkshire pudding. Also, their ribs are awesome. Not everyone will like this, but they also make the best fire roasted artichoke you will ever have.

The thing I like about Bandera is that it's not just about the flavor, although that's very important, it's also about the texture of the foods that you eat.

Must be a different place then. The Lola's on Brand (across from Porto's) is Peruvian, not Filipino.

Me and my girl have been going to this place called The Counter. It's a build-your-own-burger or salad spot. Locations in the Marina, El Segundo, Santa Monica, maybe others...

They have an extensive list of high quality items to add to your 1/3, 2/3 or 1 lb burger, the first 4 of which are free...
