The trade deadline has passed, free agency is over, rosters are now final.

Trade FAQ

1. Are the trade rules similar to the NBA?
Yes, same as the CBA. If both teams are over the cap the total salaries exchanged have to be within 125%. If one team is under the cap it can take in more salary up to the amount of their cap room.

Example: Team A has 110 million payroll, Team B has 130. Cap is 120.

Team A can make a trade where it takes in up to 10M more than the total salaries going out. It can't just go any amount over the cap.

Team B can only make trades where it takes in up to 125% more than the total salaries sent out. There are no limits on taking in less.

2. Can I trade free agents?
Nope.

3. B-b-b-b--b-but...
No.

4. What about sign and trade though?
Sign and trade is only when a free agent signing is internal. All free agent signings in the ATL are external. You also can't use the MLE, BAE or vet min to sign a free agent and then trade him.

5. How will trade exceptions work?
Unlike past years of the ATL this year we follow the CBA precisely. If you send one player out in trade and the total salaries coming back are less you receive a trade exception for the difference.

However, if you aggregate players there is no trade exception, you only get a trade X if you send ONE player out. In addition, if the exception is added to your payroll and the team is still under the cap then the exception disappears, just like the CBA. God bless the CBA.

6. Can we do 3-ways?
Sure. As many teams can be in a deal as you want. Remember that they all have to sign off on it and I need proof of that from every one of them for the trade to get approved.

7. How long will trading go?
Once free agency is just dealing in MLE or lower then the trade deadline will be a few days later. An announcement will be made on the trade deadline at least three days in advance.

Ok, I did half the trades in the league this year, but I think I'm done. Props to both Jamas and Aabs for equitable trades for both teams.

Yeah, I was heavy in trades in previous years too. One and done for me this season.
