I dont think Miles realy has a place on our roster, but if it means getting Roy, we got to do what we got to do. |
make it mihm, cook, mckie, wafer and the #51 for Skinner,<a point guard not named dickau> and the #7. |
Don't get excited over this. We don't even know who this person is, they've provided no source for the information and are PROBABLY JUST TRYING TO JACK US UP! That's usually what it means when someone chimes in with something like this and then disappears. Hopefully that's not the case, but we need to treat it as such at this point... |

Is this true that we are involved in trade talks for Miles and #4 pick( roy) for Mihm and fillers? If that is the case then I think its a good deal. I still don't think that Telfair was worth the #7 pick straight up. I don't think he did anything special this past two seasons for him to have that kind of a value. |

Could be, but Tellem is trying to control where his guys go and is playing hardball. |

DB, What's the good word on the Lakers trying to grab one of those picks from Portland? |

More to that trade...
I'm listening. Actually, I don't really care since its a rumor. Very entertaining rumor, but until it happens, I don't want to get worked up about it. |

No way we trade for Miles.
Kupchak/Buss won't give up on their LeBron dream until it's passed them by. |

I would think Cook, #26, and Aaron Mckie would be an interest to the Blazers. I can't believe they want to add 4 more rookies to there team. The Lakers need to be aggresive and strike.
Go Lakers |

Actually I would have thought that Portland is angling for another trade tongiht. Using the picks as sweeteners, they can try offloading Zach and Darius. This would:
a) Increase the likelihood of Joel Przybilla returning, and (more importantly)
b) Improve the financial projections, in terms of a possible sale of the team |

Heck, even if Roy gets picked up before the 7th pick, I'll gladly do the trade so that the Lakers can pickup Brewer!!!!
Seems like the pipedream of a blazer-laker trade COULD become reality with POrtland getting 2 1st round picks:
Portland picks Morrison with #4
(Cross fingers) Portalnd picks Roy with #7 and triggers trade with Lakers for Roy and Miles for Mihm and filler (hopefully we can keep the #26). _________________ "Who is this kid? Does he know me? I don't think he was hugged enough as a kid." - Kobe Bryant on Raja Bell |

It's out now. Raef/Ratliff are parts. |

Quote: | Danny Ainge didn't have to wait on this draft-day trade.
According to sources, the Celtics' boss acquired point guard Sebastian Telfair and big man Theo Ratliff from the Trail Blazers in exchange for the No. 7 pick in tonight's NBA draft, center Raef LaFrentz and guard Dan Dickau.
Not only did Boston get the point guard it has been seeking, but Ainge also rid himself of LaFrentz's mega-contract and also got Ratliff who should give the Celtics a much-needed defensive presence in the middle.
The Celtics are also still discussing the possibility of acquiring Allen Iverson, according to sources close to the situation. |
