I had my upgrade last Thursday. There were still quite a few 100 level seats. I even saw some dead center in 101 or 111 near the back rows. I looked at upgrading to middle 300 sections, but there were mostly seats in the back few rows. I was able to move from 303 Row 11 to 319 Row 9, aisle seats, so at least now I face the benches and have a lower row starting on the aisle. There is a lot of choice in terms of seats from what I had anticipated. Renewal rate was in the low 90% range while it is usually high 90%s. A lot available in the 200 level however they are more than 2x a price increase from 300's.

Has anyone gone through the upgrade process yet? If so, can anyone tell me what kind of seating is available? Last year, there seemed to be plenty of lower level seats available to upgrade to. Anything between the baskets in the 100 level this year?

Last summer when this thread was started I got my upgrade late July.
Moved from sec 105 visitor tunnel to 118 Laker tunnel.

Anxiously waiting to hopefully get more towards center court this year.

No word yet.

Do you happen to know if he was able to choose from anywhere between the baskets or anything close to that?

Howdy. This is my first post on LG. I had 2 seats last season in 115 row 16. It was my first year as a STH. I plan on upgrading closer to laker bench and closer to the floor if possible. I'm still waiting for renewal instructions. If I can move down my seats (great seats) will be available. FYI. Also wanted to ask if anybody has had success selling tix here on LG? Is there a topic/section where to do it? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!!

Just received an email from the Lakers about ticket upgrades. Here is the text:
Quote:
Your Scheduled Upgrade Appointment is:
Monday, June 29, 2015 at 2:30 PM

Link:
www.lakers.com/sthlogin

Thank you for renewing your season seats for the 2015-2016 season. We appreciate your continued support and recognize the major role that you play in our success. As a courtesy, we are offering all Season Ticket Members the opportunity to upgrade your seats if you are interested. If you do not wish to upgrade your seats or if you have any questions, please call the Season Ticket Office at (310) 426-6031.

This year, we have made some changes that we believe will further enhance your upgrade experience:
1. At your scheduled appointment time login to Los Angeles Lakers Account Manager at www.lakers.com/sthlogin. (Note: If you do not have your login information, please contact a Customer Service Specialist prior to your scheduled appointment.)
2. Once you have logged in, scroll down on the home page and click on "upgrade now" in the lower left hand corner.
3. From here you will be directed to a virtual map of the STAPLES Center to see the available seats to upgrade, downgrade or relocate your current seats. On the virtual map, available seats are indicated in green.
4. Once you see the seats you wish to move into, select the seats then add them to your cart. When you are ready to checkout, click on the shopping cart in the upper right (or the checkout tab) and hold your seats.
5. The system will confirm that you would like to upgrade form your current seats to the new seats you have on hold. (Note: Once you upgrade to the new seats, your old seats will be removed from your account. Please make sure you are certain of your choice.)
6. Finally, after you have confirmed your upgrade, you will be directed to the payment page where you will complete the transaction. If it is necessary, you will need to provide payment to bring your account current. If you are on a payment plan, your installment payments will be adjusted to the price of your new seats. If you choose, you may also pay in full for the remaining balance on your account. (Note: A credit card is required in order to complete the process. If there is no balance due, your credit card will not be charged.)

Some other quick notes:
• You will not have access to view available seats before your scheduled appointment time.
• Please keep in mind that there may also be other people looking at the available seats.
• There is no guarantee that you will secure the seats you have selected until you reach the final confirmation page.
• Should any issues arise, we will do my very best to help resolve them in a timely manner.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Lakers Season Ticket office at (310) 426-6031. Please keep in mind that we may be helping other Season Ticket Members, so your patience is greatly appreciated.

Thank you again for being a loyal Lakers fan!

Lakers Season Ticket Office

This is a change from last year when even though I could see the available seats online, I had to make upgrades through my account rep, who called me at the appointment time. It looks like this year they fully automated the process. I checked my account online and I already see the Upgrade button, but after I clicked on it, it won't let me select my seats for upgrade until my appointment time a week from now.

Interesting-- I haven't received an e-mail from the Lakers with my appointment time yet, but I logged in and sure enough, the upgrade button was there.

I obviously couldn't upgrade yet, but the cool thing was that it told me the time that it would be available, which for me was on July 1. I wonder if this is some kind of default date, or if that actually will be my time to choose.

I thought last year there was a link you could use to see what seats are available, whether or not it was time for your upgrade period so you could see what may exist by the time your turn comes. Can't seem to find that this time. Anybody else get a link to that?

This year they don't let you view the available seats before your scheduled appointment time. This is from the email I received:

I didn't see a ton of options when I upgraded.

As of Tuesday July 7th 2015 Afternoon there were only single seats available in..
119,101,102,110,111,112

Kind of ridiculous how many single seats in lower level center sections, but I guess some of the existing season ticket holders have 3 seats and some single seats get wasted in the good sections.

There were lots of seats lower level back of the sections behind the basket...and near tunnels. I am basically a few seats away from center section...waiting for the year I can finally move to center.....will probably be a long time.

additionally, through the 10th, there were only a few singles in the corner 200's (i.e. 219, 205, etc).

I was able to move over a few spots from last year, but didn't quite get on the aisle like i wanted to.

Nice upgrade. After 12 years I was finally able to move downstairs. I was fortunate to upgrade about 2 weeks ago and moved to 205, as far over as i could get, right seats butt up to the Premier section.

I wish the Lakers would allow us to continue to view what is available and move again after our initial day/time. I upgraded to 205 and once I hit confirm they blocked me out. Couldn't see what others were doing. I'm sure there were others with dates after mine that might have had better seats that they maybe gave up to move closer over over. etc. maybe next year.

I've been up in the 300's for 12 years, so it was easy to sell my seats. I would say that 70% of my sales are on CL and the other 30 are on Ticket Exchange. I do NOT sure stubhub or barrys. They are a complete rip off to the fan and seller. Since I've sold for so many years, I had a good number of repeat customers I would just text. This year will be different, I have to find new customers, but again will sell on CL. I'm willing to sell blocks of 10, 15 or 20 games too.

Has anyone been able to upgrade their season seats yet? I received my appointment time (next week). Just wondering if anyone with more seniority than me has already gone through the upgrade process and can tell us if there are a good number of seats available (like last year).

Mine is tomorrow (Monday) morning. I'll keep you posted. My rep said it was a 99% renewal rate this year. Interesting how this year the renewal is 1 month earlier then last year.

Anyone who already started, what do open seats look like??
