No looking forward to tomorrow. Having a colonoscopy done in the morning. It'll be my third.

First revealed 7 benign polyps. I had to go back in 7 years. Second I was polyp free. Ten year waiting period. I've since been doing the Home Colon Cancer Screening. Done 2, both clean.

Colonoscopy doesn't hurt, you go to sleep, wake up, no after effects. It's just so invasive. The killer is I asked my doctor to set up the procedure. Seems like it's been over 10 years, Better safe than sorry.

sounds like a sheeeeety situation!

And would rather have a colonoscopy than a sigmoidoscopy!! They do that one while you are awake and if they think you are tough will dig deep until you can't take it anymore. LOL

I know this is an old thread...

Without insurance, I'll bet it is as expensive as heck.. $15-$25k???

I've had 3, with no bad things found.

My Dr. said red-meat can cause issues and I've been eating mainly chicken, turkey, and fish for many years.. Also I don't eat much fried food.

Keep this in mind, you younger peeps and do get the tests done, as "J" said, they do not hurt a bit, as you are knocked out, the WORST part is the preparation, which I will not discuss...lol
