It may be a lil too early to talk about the draft but, I found an interesting prospect. If we really stay at the top positions of the conference we will pick bottom of the 1st, and this dude is projected to go around the late 20's.

Reading his profile you can see he has what it takes, he needs to learn some minor stuff like shooting and post moves, but we got Kareem fo that, what impressed me the most is that he is a ball playa with a 4.0 GPA. _________________ www.lakersbrasil.com

Hmmm sounds like Kwame except the 4.0 GPA part.. _________________ NBA Finals 2008 Game 4 post-game reaction:

Orestes - Guess that's one way to find out if you really bleed purple & gold. |

Just what we need, another big guy who can't hit freethrows. _________________ Not a legend |

Promising young big man, but needs a lot more polish.

The guy is an athletic freak and just looks physically dominating out there compared to other college players. I think he's projected as a first round pick just based on how he looks physically.
For a 3 year starter, he's still incredibly raw and mechanical offensively and pretty undisciplined defensively, looking for the block all the time and getting out of position. As a Cal alum, I've seen a lot of his games. He's not a first round talent, skillwise.
And he just suffered a stress fracture in his foot and is out 2-3 months at least after surgery, so he's probably going back to school next year. A blessing in disguise for him IMO. |

Excellent wingspan, combined with a great frame and fantastic athleticism, makes him an intriguing project, especially when you consider his seemingly excellent intangibles. Weaknesses are numerous at this point, including hands, timing, consistency, touch, intensity level, post moves, early foul trouble and more. Drops hints of a mid-range game too, particularly with his stroke from the free-throw line. Nowhere near ready for the NBA at this point, but his potential could easily get him there soon. |
