The 7 offensive rebs he got last game didn't help us win at all apparently
(i know his last game wasn't his best but he still found a way to help) |
The 7 offensive rebounds was huge.
His ability to get us extra possessions will be exactly what we need. Giving Lebron and AD extra possessions is deadly. |

The main Drummond negative is that the Lakers frontcourt rotations no longer make sense. _________________ Under New Management |

He gets paid 500k and eats up rebounds. People need to stop complaining SO much. When you have a man capable of single handedly giving you so many second chance opportunities, you wanna play him sometimes yaknow? _________________ I love my Lakies |

His offensive rebounding is exactly what we need when we get into our 3 point cold streaks.
He’s flawed, but he has a role. |

Good job AD2. I’ve been harsh on you as well but I would imagine all the weirdness of the season affects everybody. Good comeback game today.

Give this guy’s name some respect.
16/18 including clutch offensive rebounds in OT.
Good defense even help defense against Randle. _________________ |

Drummond needs confidence to get his game going. A few easy buckets a night from LBJ and all of a sudden he starts playing real big blocking shots and getting rebounds. Drummond best game as a Laker tonight. |

AD2 looks slow and his vertical leap is abysmal. He is 6'10 and seems to have difficulties dunking the ball. Is he hurt/ out of shape, or has he been always like that. It looks like he could lose a few pounds. |

Absolute beast...agreed his switches which resulted in him guarding Randle were very good. He has to continue rebounding and playing D....and it would help if he caught the ball better and finished more consistently. |

I hope he understands his role on this team. Go grab the rebound and play defense. Stop thinking about posting up and scores. |

He just needs to stay out of early foul trouble. This was his first game in a while where he got a rhythm and didn’t have to go to the bench early. |

“Those things we know we can put him in and ways to get him the basketball in the post off of movement I think can be effective. Also, I think Stan [Van Gundy] did a great job in Detroit in particular with the pick-and-roll to roll-and-seal type of approach, which is what we’re looking at as well.”
Vogel disagrees with you bro. |

Thing is, this doesnt make sense if we compare to what happened last year with Dwight. Last year Dwight is a superior player to Drummond currently in pretty much every way including scoring. Yet Dwight would completely seal his man off and AD and others would just ignore/look him off him (which pissed me off frankly), but they are trying to feed Drummond?????
Kobe said he missed Shaq when he compared him to Howard. I miss Howard when I compare him with Drummond. Even old Dwight was just bouncier and is just a better finisher and much much better defender than Drummond. Its actually kinda disappointing that prime 27 year old Drummond to me is not even a better player than mid 30s Dwight |

That quasi-suspension with Cleveland midseason cost him timing and conditioning, then he came to the Lakers with AD/LBJ hurt.
His quick hands and feet will only make us that much better defensively when we get him practice/reps with the starters, and the boards will always be huge. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Not really...In the numbers game Drummond is averaging 11 ppg 10 rpg as a Laker in 24 min... Dwight was 7 and 7 in 20 min....Dwight was a better defender and shot blocker though which was what we needed. But I totally agree with you that Dwight would seal his man and nothing. However, If Drummond plays like he did last night we'll be very difficult to beat. |

Yep buyout players are buyout players for a reason.
Both Drummond and McLemore get exposed in certain situations and matchups. On a team like the Lakers, all we need from Drummond is defensive contributions, fill the dunker’s spot and biggest of all snatch as many offensive rebounds as he can.
McLemore provides instant shooting off the bench, but you have to play him in spurts. Good example is last 2 min of 1st quarter where he comes in and hits a couple of 3s...or like last night 2 key baskets in the 4th to keep the Lakers within striking distance.
The problem with players like this is other organizations give them bigger roles and fans get frustrated with their flaws. |
