I see us making noise in the first round but ultimately losing in six to either GSW, Phoenix, or Utah. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Still have half a season to play. Still have to get Davis and hopefully Nunn contributing. They may even find some chemistry and competitive energy on a nightly basis. Do they add anyone in trade or from buy out? Matchups will matter a lot.
Completely spitballing here... At their best, maybe push a top 4 team to 6 or 7 games. At their current struggling state, at risk of losing in one of the play-in matchups.
Still a long way to go and crazier things have happened then them pulling this current cluster**** together and getting back into the conversation as contenders. Not expecting so many dominoes to fall into place, But I'll keep hoping.
Well they haven't beaten any team with a winning record so my guess is they'll win enough games to make the playoffs by feasting on the bottom feeders then get eliminated in the first round of the playoffs when they have to play against a team with a winning record.
They are 5-16 against teams with a winning record. Only 16 out of the next 41 games are at home. This team will get to the 7th or 8th seed at best and we're gonna see them get destroyed by Phoenix or Golden State in 1st round. There is no evidence of this team being a title contender. You go as far as your stars go and the Big 3 are not playing well together. They've done well one of them is gone and we know we are stuck with Westbrook till summer
Barring major roster changes, I see us winning the play-ins solely because Bron would never let us lose that. Depending on how much viewership the team is pulling, Silver might even give us a bit of an advantage for the play-ins? Who knows lol..
Then first round exit.
But if we make it to the 4th seed (top 3 seeds are locked up imo), I think we go into the second round, then get smoked.

It all depends of what version of AD comes back and how he is looking going into the Playoffs as far as being a legitimate Contender goes.. We still have the potential of beating anyone in the WC especially imo.. As of right now we would obviously get destroyed by the two top teams but there's a lot of time left.
It will be very interesting how Nunn fits and performs along with any small trades or late buyout pickups as well. If we could lower Russ's minutes to be more of a McGee type role with no guarantee whatsoever he'll be in late then I like our chances even more but i'll believe that when I see it. Not super high on the team at all right now like most but as usual it will ultimately come down to how our top 2 are looking by Seasons end.
No doubt the Lakers have heavily missed expectations.
But with Nunn coming back & AD eventually, if the stars line up right, we may have a fully healthy squid. If the Lakers still are bad than, we have a problem.
There is a myth going around that if we were healthier we would be good. Health or not if we get the jazz, sun's or warriors we will lose in the first round.
I do not see it. Won't have HCA in any round, and AD is not healthy. If AD is healthy heading into the playoffs and the big 3 have played a set of 15-20 games together, I can see a 1st round upset. Most likely we will need 1 or 2 play ins to make it in, and then maybe could be a competitive 1st round playoff team.
Really need to focus on Monk, THT, Reaves, Stanley, Nunn getting reps around AD/Bron so they come back next season ready to go from day 1. And if by chance you have a deep run in the playoffs, so be it.
