Coach Vogel:

You felt right from preseason Vogel had his work cut out for him. Probably this team needed a stronger personality, more authorative and someone that would allow them to coast at times, but still get on them
Agree with your assessments

Only Pop and Phil have the cache of bing a strong personality with the authority to allow them to coast but knowing when (or have the ability) to get on them (hello, LBJ - on defense).

Since Vogel has been fired and Alvin Gentry has been fired by the Kings, let the Coaching Carousel begin!!!

Maybe some these head coaches (https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2934206-nba-insiders-see-bright-future-for-these-black-assistants-coaches) would be good candidates (since this is a 2021 article, some of these assistant coaches are already head coaches)

We should NOT have this mentality
"Rivers couldn’t win a title with Lob City, so how he is going to win with Sob City? That’s the beauty of all this. He doesn’t have to win a title, nobody is going to expect this mess of a team to contend for another championship until James and his franchise chokehold are long gone.

Rivers will keep them competitive. He won’t let them embarrass themselves. He will lead them back to the postseason. That will be enough.

He’s the only coach to blow three separate three-to-one leads in playoff series, so how are they going to trust him in the postseason? Hey, at least he gets to the postseason, failing to qualify only four times in 22 full seasons as a head coach. If any James-led Lakers team can manage to get a three-games-to-one lead on anyone, Lakers fans should be thrilled enough to take their chances on the coach."

Let the Coaching Carosoul Begin!😂😂😂😂

Thanks, DB.

Dunno what I would read about Lakers if it wasn't for you, wolfpack and a few others. Thanks for what you do.
