What a legend. No one - and I mean NO ONE in this world - sounds like Jeff Beck on the guitar.

RIP.

Unique and gifted guitar player.

Going to give Blow by Blow another listen tonight in his honor.

That’s for sure. And he was at the forefront of changing how the guitar sounded going forward.

An icon for sure.

As much as Eddie Van Halen received all the love and accolades when he passed, it could be argued that Jeff Beck was even MORE innovative than EVH ever was.
Both great, don't get me wrong, but no doubt Beck was even more of a pioneer than Eddie.

RIP for sure.
Changed the world of guitar.

Reading all the famous musicians talking about how much they loved and/or were influenced by Jeff, is overwhelming. Everyone has hit social media....
from Rod Stewart to Joe Satriani to Jimmy Page to Ron Wood to Jonny Marr to u2 to Paul McCartney, etc.

Big loss...bigger than folks may have expected.

A true groundbreaking musician....

It's damn near impossible to try to imitate him and sound good. He's always on the edge between being in tune and out of tune and used his whammy bar constantly. And considering he didn't use a guitar pick, his playing was aggressive and fast, but also gentle. He was so unique.

Beck was one of those guys a ton of people could t name a song from (although they’ve heard them and don’t know it). Probably more people knew the name than the work because he was so loved and mentioned by other musicians and critics. An innovator and noodler and pioneer who was more a musician and music junky’s musician than a maker of commercial material. Unique. Missed.
