They can't punt the 'swap' right, gotta swap or no swap at all?

This year is a swap unless we pass them in which case we just keep our own picks but they can punt the 2024 to 2025.

I don't wanna jinx it, but the damage is looking pretty minimal right now for this season.

If we pass them, I wonder if they just take this year's pick anyway.
If the Lakers play well down the stretch, they might be better next year.

No this year they would take whichever pick is highest.

In 2024 they can decide to punt the 2024 pick and let us keep our own pick... or take the pick in which we keep 2025.

Blessing in disguise because I'm sure we would have traded them already.

At least we will have two number one picks over the next three years, and then have the rest of our picks unless we do something dumb and trade them for someone who doesn't move the needle.

Doh. That's right. Thanks.
Lakers gotta just keep winning. Don't even pay attention to the Pels.

Your list had some nice players... but I just wanted more shooting from range.

I'm excited for a lot of these kids.

He seems like a good fit for us too. I'm sure our scouting dept. will do another good job at evaluating this young talent.

I canโ€™t believe Iโ€™m saying this, but if not a centerโ€ฆI actually wouldnโ€™t mind drafting a point guard.

If you think about it, Schroder, Brick, Bev, etc. They are likely only here for this season. So we donโ€™t have anybody else as a young up and comer as a future point guard. Unless we make Reaves that guy. But right now we have two SGs (Reaves and Christie), and Rui assuming we resign him long term.

So Iโ€™m actually ok with drafting a point guard than I was in previous years. I guess any position besides SG is good to draft this year.

I expect that if other options donโ€™t emerge, a run at Gordon (HOU) might be a fallback option. They have Milwaukeeโ€™s 2023 1st, and could move up if we traded swap rights on the swap outcome with NOH. But if the Pels keep losing, that could start to be a pretty valuable chip.

Was it b2b? I forgot if they played Friday or Saturday but saw Giannis destroyed them last night.

Edit: it was Saturday. So probably b2b managing.

It's sad that part of my hopes is just to get a better record than the Pels.

We've moved up into Sensabaugh territory

Bryce Sensabaugh

Why do I keep posting these players?

Maybe if you see the talent available... some of you won't be trying to trade our first rounders for Bojan.

Iโ€™m sorry, but no respectable franchise should draft a player named Gradey Dick.

That boy needs a name change.

A Laker win today, and now a Mavs giving the Pels a beating by 25 points. It's a good day.

Crazy that a Laker win would tie the Pels. They were a 3 seed.

Luckily for the Lakers, the Pels are kind of looking like frauds. No team in the modern era will survive without shooting and spacing, and they have none of it at the moment. They are toast IMHO, unless Griffin makes some kind of trade. BI is my boy and all, but he doesn't look even remotely close to the same midrange assassin from previous years. Like Zo, it seems like injuries have taken a toll on him. Such a shame.

Lakers are not getting a lotto pick this year.
They're going to the playoffs, and NO is going to keep their lotto pick.
