He looks like a talent. He's already contributing as a teenager. He also seems intelligent, which is always a bonus

Hey, I can admit to being wrong. I hated this pick last year, but Iโ€™m impressed. Heโ€™s making MAJOR progress compared to summer league where he looked like a total joke. An Anthony Brown pick.

I can actually see him as a nice role player for this team for years to come. If he can get stronger and get more consistent with his jump shot, he will have a long career instead of the 2 year career I projected him originally.

His stroke was there. He was short which let some of think he just needed to gain strength and get used to the NBA 3. He was also displaying some vision and was definitely showing his defensive and rebounding skills.

I was down on Swider since his defense sucked ***.

KCP with more length. And his stroke looks like Ingram's. Fingers crossed he goes the Mikal Bridges route.

You know why people keep bringing up Anthony brown? Because he had one of the most beautiful shots, but unfortunately they just werenโ€™t going in. Canโ€™t blame people for being down on him with his summer league shooting. Everyone knew his defense was there. Now he can make open 3s, all bets are off

Loved Max as soon as the pick was made. Glad to see it's paying off for the Lakers, and Max himself.

I really hope Cole can improve his defense to at least average, over the offseason. Yes, he definitely a shooter. But, his defense is so bad, it cancels everything else out, unfortunately.

Real talk, after seeing Anthony Brown's shooting form, I thought his floor was a good shooter, with being a great shooter as his ceiling. One of the great mysteries of the NBA, how someone with such a textbook shooting form, was such a bad shooter in actual practice...

Hard to tell because most guys like that are gone before really playing. I mean Sasha was pretty close until his breakout season.

If Lakers are just a bit smart this guy is to keep for long time. His shoot and release is just already so smooth and nice. I cant imagine what would be in 2-3 years from now. And he is 19 years old. Also he has some really good defensive fundamentals which can only be upgraded and developed with experience and years ahead. He will never be a star but he can be valuable piece for many years. These are the players Lakers need to look and develop and not chasing fxxxxx starts all the time. Have some faith in these players.

I don't know. AB was 23 when he came into the league. Max at 19, imo, already had better vision and ability to chase on defense better than AB. Not to mention he was getting after it with the rebounding. But maybe my recollection of AB is off, it's been awhile.

But I agree. If guys aren't making their 3s, it's going to be difficult for them to make it. Glad he's hitting his shots as well.

I really like Max Christie. Good, active defense tonight, especially for a 19-year-old. And this season he's now shooting 46.3% from 3 on 80 attempts in the NBA and G League combined.

No, Max is definitely miles above as a defender/rebounder compared to Anthony Brown. And, those skills will keep you in the league, even if your offensive output is wonky. Max showing himself to be a blooming legit shooter just adds to his value, and priority as a keeper.

Fixed. Thereโ€™s nothing sick about ever having Russell on the floor, expect feeling sick and anxious.

Both 6'5. Max looks to have more length to me though.

Speaking of Anthony Brown, I wondered what happened to him. Looked him up and he's playing for UNICS Kazan, which is part of the Russia basketball league.

You would think that after the Brittney Griner situation that Americans would find somewhere else in Europe to play..

They need money and want to keep playing.. Plus, just don't try and smuggle any drugs small or big which in all honesty should be common sense for anybody when traveling to another Country not just basketball players. Griner got extremely lucky she got a bunch of press but there are tons of people the same thing has happened to but nobody is there to bail them out.

Love Ham asking if they were waiting on Max to fall to them during the draft.
