Sources said the Lakers are sending second-round draft compensation with Patrick Beverley to Orlando for Mo Bamba -- a major get for a reworked frontline around Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

YES!!! This fulfills multiple needs. Ham gets separated from his security blanket in Bev. And, Bamba helps us solidify our frontline after losing Bryant and Jones. People are down on Bamba, but he's a low risk, high reward option at center. Hopefully being on a team with aspirations wakes something up in him.

Another good pickup. I was hoping it was for Walker but Schroder can play Bev role.

What I see:
Basically a TBryant for Bamba swap, better rim-protection with Bamba, yay.
PatBev gone reduces guard glut, Beasley needs minutes.

What I don't see:
Who plays backup point with Westbrook+PatBev gone? Offset LBJ with DLo so he runs the 2nd unit? Get Reaves to play point? Further trade?

Hopefully thereโ€™s enough time left to get into top 6, maybe 4.

How fast can they gel & Ham not mess it up?!?!

I would have rather seen Lonnie go instead of Pat Bev.

Two PG's on team. Schroeder and DLo. Start one and other off the bench. I would start DLo as he is a better shooter than Dennis.

I don't know about this one. By all accounts he's a low motor, weird character guy and we already have a couple of those with Russell and Beasley.
