Schroder, Austin Reaves, Troy Brown Jr., Hachimura and Bamba off the bench |
Based on the personnel, that’s probably the safest rotation, but I’m just not a fan of Anthony Davis as the starting center. They were better with Javale Mcgee, Dwight Howard, Marc Gasol and Andre Drummond starting at center. I think they should give Mo Bamba a look at that starting center spot. |
I’m hoping the team and players eventually progress to the point where Bamba starts with AD, LBJ, Reaves, Dlo. I believe that group would give the best balance of offense/defense…but Bamba and Reaves aren’t ready for that just yet. The current projected starters give the Lakers the best starting line up at the moment. |
Maybe next season. They can keep Austin and Mo and still create cap space, just not the 36.5 million for Kyrie. |

First of 7 games in a row against Western Conference teams. Would love to go 5-2. But 2 games are against Memphis. They've been in a slump so we'll see how they come out of the All-star break. Even OKC will be tough as will Warriors. This is going to be exciting again.

dont jinx us like that! |
I think it’d be more likely to jinx them if I didn’t bring it up. I say it every time the warriors play them and they never disappoint. |

It appears to be confirmed by this injury report (https://ak-static.cms.nba.com/referee/injury/Injury-Report_2023-02-23_01PM.pdf) that Wiggins and Steph are OUT tonight.
Hope the Lakers still take this game seriously. Klay, Dray, and Poole are still a dangerous trio. |

Just gonna piggy back what Armin is saying.
Jordan Poole and Klay can still give you 60-70 points easily.
An Draymond is smart enough to orchestrate that warriors defense with Looney, J. Green, Jerome, and Kuminga to be a real pain in the ass.
Can’t take any team in the league light no matter how healthy we are.
With all that said we better win tonight by 17+ points.
Let’s go Lakers! 💜💛 |

Agreed! Just say no to Kyrie...please Lakers...let's stick with what we got, support existing players, build chemistry and develop a cohesive unit! _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. This game will test Darvin's coaching and the new roster's ability. If this is the starting lineup I like it. It's gell time.
Lakers
G – D’Angelo Russell
G – Malik Beasley
C – Anthony Davis
F – LeBron James
F – Jarred Vanderbilt

Ham has to take one of Klay or Poole away. One goes off you're fine, but can't have them both spamming threes all over the place. |

being in the bay I know a lot of what GSW fans worry about. apparently they don't like Poole's decision making in the 4th quarter at all. I think the strat is to shut down Klay, leave Dray wide open, and let Poole show off and make poor decisions down the stretch |

Yup, pretty much the exact strategy they used against them in the last matchup and had Klay livid and frustrated all game long. I'm not counting on Klay having that bad of a game again but we now have the pieces to at minimum contest all his shots and not let him get into a rhythm which is about all you can do against elite shooters.
I expect Dray and Klay to be screaming all over the place again as we roll the dubs and smoke them.
If we win this game it will be a massive first day into our climb back into the Playoffs as that would mean at minimum 3 teams we're chasing would have loss while we get a win (It could be 4-5 teams if things go really well). Regardless of what happens it just feels good to even look at the standings again and feel there is a very realistic chance we'll be climbing the ranks. |

Two games against Houston and the one against Orlando theoretically should be easier...maybe even the two each against Chicago and Utah. But yea, this one against GSW without Steph and Wiggins should be one the Lakers can win as well as any other.
As we know though, any NBA team is capable of beating any other team, with or without their best players, so the Lakers better come out focused if they want to win. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. Could it be that LBJ's claim that these are the most 23 important games of his career is something he doesn't really believe?...or isn't committed to appropriately?
There could certainly be a legitimate reason, but I can't imagine LBJ missing practice with so many new teammates if he regarded these next 23 games as importantly as he stated...the most...if it were so then I would think he wouldn't miss practice for anyting other than an emergency. |
It’s practice worry if he misses the game |

Nothing new there those are the same folks who have been out for the Warriors. FYI lakersdaily.com is the Twitter account that completely took a quote from Jovan on ESPN radio so totally out of context he called them out and they ended up deleting the Tweet. Not sure they're the best source to follow for information lol |
