He was great in The Wire. He could steal a scene without saying a word.

RIP.

Wow! He played a hotel manager in John Wick. Not an ordinary manager. He managed a sanctuary hotel. No business was allowed to be done there. RIP

Damn this really sucks. Crazy talented man. Was a good musician, too, but of course he'll be remembered for his acting roles. Lost and Fringe are two of my favorite shows ever. Though his role in Lost turned out to be small, he's very fondly remembered by the legion of Lost fans for his role as Abaddon. Lost was so popular that it sent him to another level of recognition. In fact, the Abaddon role was supposed to turn into a series regular, but then the opportunity to play Agent Broyles on Fringe came around and he went with that instead. (Of course, both shows were intertwined with the presence of JJ Abrams.)

He just had an incredible presence and gravitas. He had a commanding voice and he could convey a lot with a mere facial expression. A TV critic on Twitter beautifully said that Reddick had an ability to take authoritative characters that are so often portrayed simply, and turned them into human beings with depth. He will be greatly missed.

One of the greatest voices and character actors in TV. Really loved his work in the Wire and Fringe.

Really shocking to hear this news. RIP

Lost and Fringe are the shows I associate with him most. He's done a grip of voice over works for video games too. My favorite was Sylens in Horizon Zero dawn...his voice was perfect for it.

I think I'm going to re-watch Fringe.

RIP @ only 60 years young.

He and Michael K Williams were 2 of the top men in their field, and that's considering absolutely everyone.

This hurts, great actor.

So good as Lt. Cedric Daniels in The Wire, the greatest television show in history.

Wow! Lance Reddick isn't someone I would have predicted an early death. It will be sad watching JW4 knowing this was his last role.

He will be missed.

He had so many great moments in The Wire, and other things too. RIP
