No one in the media is pursuing this, but the word on the streets of Memphis was that Tyre worked with the ex of one of the cops and had some sort of personal relationship with her. The cops allegedly followed Tyre and set him up. If true, this could be a death penalty case. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Rumors About Tyre Nichols Allegedly Having a Relationship with Ex of Cop Are Unsubstantiated

Quote: | On Jan. 30, 2023, a number of tweets and memes went viral, claiming that Haley and Nichols were connected prior to the assault, and allegedly through Haley's ex-girlfriend or ex-wife. These rumors were reportedly refuted by Nichols' stepfather, and, so far, none of the claims have been substantiated by an independent investigation, or any other parties involved. |

That's one of the perils of our social media driven world these days. Such baseless speculation circulates until people start to think it is actual news. Media should stick to actual facts and not run with internet rumormongering. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Memphis police officer Lt. Dewayne Smith retired with benefits the day before a hearing to fire him. He saw the handwriting on the wall. He or his advisers were smart enough to have him retire. If he'd been fired he would have lost his benefits. Smith has 25 years of policing experience. He'll probably stay in law enforcement in some capacity.

This ... people thought chanting defund the police was a good idea.. how about retrain the police.. Michael Vick went to jail for training dogs the same way these cops above were trained
Just go back through the books and start indicting the guilty cops
Indict anyone who allowed them to continue to brutalize citizens
Biden could do something to retrain the police..
Reward good cops who don't turn a blind eye when a dirty cop plays his games
Require them to be licensed and that license is nationwide no longer allowing them to move to a different area and be hired right back after abuses elsewhere
neverending story of humans abusing power |
