No way the Lakers bring Mo back on his 10m next year. Wouldn't mind doing a multi-year deal, but it would have be something more manageable like $4-5m/year. We do have his Bird rights.
15/3 is a good deal after rejecting the 10m option or 18/3

Damn this sucks. Was most excited about mo’s trade that anyone else’s at the deadline actually. He’s probably done for the season _________________ Billions Billions Billions

I think they opt into the 10m and trade him.
For what?
Aggregated with Rui or Beasley for a bigger piece, for instance.

I'd be happy if they brought Bamba back at a lower number. But also thought about how his and Beasley's contract, perhaps with a mid 1st round pick this year might get you something meaningful in trade. _________________ Member: Austin “Manu” Reaves fan club.

Excited about a career backup at best? To each his own.
lol
To be fair, the potential of Mo Bamba and his skillset is exciting. Of all our acquisitions, he is the farthest away from what we imagine to be his ceiling We all remember what having a rim-protector next to AD did for us 3 years ago and how much Marc Gasol opened up the lanes. And many drooled over the prospect of acquiring Turner. The idea of Mo Bamba at his best is a mish-mash of all of those. This season has been largely disappointing; nothing wrong with BBB's optimism. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit)

Yeah, he's a near flawless fit for what we needed.. With him healthy, we don't lose 2-3 of the games we lost over the last couple of weeks imo. Not because he's some amazing player but he gives us an at least legitimate defensive threat in the middle and added spacing/lob threat on the offensive end. I sure as hell hope he comes back at some point because he makes us that much more versatile and allows us to match up to anyone in the NBA once Bron comes back. I love how hard Gabriel plays and tries but nobody is scared of him whatsoever defensively.
^^^ I wouldn't go as far as saying he wins 2-3 extra recent games for us. I just understand the excitement for him. If I'm a betting man, I think he is much closer to his peak impact than we want him to be. He is certainly worth an extended look past this summer though. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit)

Yeah, i'm mostly referring to the Houston loss which I believe with ANY competent big we likely win it imo. No other recent losses were quite as glaring as that one as far as displaying our lack of depth at Center with AD out especially.

They definitely would’ve won the Houston game just like they won the road OKC game. Which BTW they would’ve lost without him. I think they pick up his option because IMO AD will have surgery in the off season so we need a starting center if AD isn’t ready or will be limited possibly. No way we enter next season with just Gabriel and Vando. And no way guys like Brown, Ibaka, Whiteside, Meyers or any of those guys can give you what Bamba does.

Flawless? Oh my. _________________ If you’ve got a dream, chase it, cause a dream won’t chase you back.
Would love to see how he does paired with AD, if Wenyen can perform well I imagine Bamba with his floor spacing would work even better. Ham will probably never do it.
