America needs a Mental Health Hotline

Quote:

“It is very concerning and it’s quite frankly scary that someone can just walk up to an office, holding a baseball bat and just start swinging at innocent victims,” she said.

US Capitol Police and the Fairfax City Police Department said Xuan Kha Tran Pham, 49, of Fairfax entered the office around 10.49am on Monday with a metal baseball bat and assaulted the two staffers.

That's too bad. They made their bed now they have to sleep in it. Maybe they will think twice about making stupid decisions.

But they out rated everyone with that decision.

He should be in Maximum Security Prison NOT ON TV

Put the man on CNN who is responsible for Trump still being relevant: Merrick Garland

Merrick Garland is the only reason Trump is still relevant and after Comey and Mueller BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE deserves actual (bleep) justice

Let's see
Insurrection
HORDES OF HIGHEST LEVEL CLASSIFIED documents stolen from USA
2 Billion dollars to Kushner to help cover up the murder of a US/Saudi citizen and who knows what else
Tax Fraud every day he was alive
Rapes
Child Molestation
INTENTIONALLY MURDERED AMERICAN CITIZENS via Covid

Yet Merrick Garland sits on his hands while trump riles up his base with violent rhetoric

I agree but the reality is he has become a reality tv character . Nothing will happen it’s the Truman show.

After a certain point CNN needs to realize their audience is too niche.

They can't even pull 500,000 viewers consistently. Most podcasts I listen to have more than twice CNN's daily average viewers.

Its a corpse propped up by other channels owned by the same conglomerate that owns them. It's been that way for a while.

After Trump's town hall there should be no questions about it.
CNN shouldn't be viewed as some sort of public service (like USPS). Something that serves a public good despite not being profitable.
It is an entertainment channel. They are in the entertainment business.

So either they should tear things down to the studs, change their show formats, pull from the vast amount of talented left of center entertainers in new media.
Or they should just close up shop.

Their commitment to being the same non-profitable, traditional news channel they've been for years now. It's bizarre and nonsensical. It's ironic that they preach late stage capitalism. But they don't practice it.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Senator Feinstein's return to Capitol Hill about a week ago. She really, really looks frail. And she made comments yesterday which seem to indicate she's not close to all there mentally, which has been rumored for a while now as well. But yes, I was quite saddened by the pictures I saw. She doesn't look like she has a lot of time left, frankly. Say what you want about the possibility that she should have resigned months ago, or that she shouldn't have run for reelection in 2018, but this is still a woman who has served the people of California in one way or another in seven different decades, going back to the 1960's in local government in San Francisco.

None of the networks are unbiased. CNN is making a shift to being more neutral. They will judge that when election season heats up. Now they are in the rebranding process.

No, they are shifting to being more conservative. This Lincoln Project video is spot on.

That is a great ad.

The voice, the pacing, the images. Very well done.

Their hosts are anything but conservative or at least the majority.

What they may be personally is irrelevant to the actual content that is presented, which is clearly becoming to more and more conservative at Chris Licht's direction; something he makes no secret of.

The platforms need a change. Outside of Ari and Alex MSNBC is unwatchable. CNN gives time to both sides. I don't watch CNN outside of Pamela Brown, Kate, or bill weir. I think all networks should shift to something more down the middle. The Trump townhall reaction was expected and that's good. For those independents that are off Joe got to see again how much worse Trump is. CNN seemingly spent the next 2 days laughing at him. I don't see the big deal.

On a brighter note. There is speculation that laura ingraham is being let go. Maybe FOX pivots more center.

The only downside are the small businesses that leverage it.

Platforming what is actually a political rally with a stacked audience and little to no fact-checking is not simply presenting "both sides".

Both sides is a cowardly way to do news. Present the facts. There’s no both sides to Trump or MTG or the debt ceiling or white supremacy. Both audiences is what they are trying to have. But those audiences aren’t bringing equal and opposite credibility.

Disney is cutting costs from its business. Since Desantis is throwing obstacles to its company, they will be cutting jobs from that state.

DeInsanetis is shooting himself in the foot. He's costing his constituents jobs. In today's economy that's a no no.

This Dianne Feinstein stuation is untenable.

It's not what's best for Feinstein or the country.

Re: Feinstein

The only reason they (Schumer, etc) aren't forcing Feinstein out is because the Republicans on her various committees have threatened to block ANY Democrat assigned to replace her. That would stall every committee she is on (including all of Biden's judicial nominiees) until the end of her term.

Yes, this is awful and everything being equal she should retire immediately. But the Republicans have weaponized every single normal government rule to turn it into another opportunity to hurt Democrats and hurt Biden then have voters blame Democrats for government not working.

So when I get mad about this horrible situation, I'm mostly get mad at Republicans.

(And this is not just the "extreme" Republicans. It was Mitt Romney who came out and said there was no way they would "help" the Democrats "ram through" his judicial nominees. All Republicans are now extreme, anti-democratic authoritarians who have no interest in sharing governing duties with Democrats but want to have unilateral Republican rule at every level from city council through the presidency.)
