I trust this hire appeases Joel Embiid. He was angry about the firing of Doc Rivers. I didn't blame Doc for the Sixer's loss. I blamed James Harden.

Say what you will about Dock he is 10th on the all-time coaching regular season wins list. That's good coaching.

Don't Nick and Joel dislike one another?

I recall a Sixers fan telling me this.

This is an upgrade for Nick Nurse though compared to the Raptors.

Nurse and Embiid did clash during the season. I don't think it will affect the chemistry of the two. They're professionals with the same goal. Winning a championship.

I guess this is a coaching upgrade for the sixers. But as long as Embid and Harden don't get their act together - I feel sorry for Nick.
