We need another center... should the Lakers take a second look at Myers Leonard?

But that was part of the problem. We didn't just need help at the center position; we needed defensive help at the center position. Those two failed horribly. T. Bryant may very well be the worst defensive five in the league.

This season it doesn't make sense to replicate that failed approach. Defensively speaking, Wood will get destroyed out there and Biyombo is too small. At least Leonard can decently hold his own while offering some offensive scoring here and there in a support role.

Oh don’t get it wrong, I’m not meaning to imply it was a good try, I saw the season too lol! With just Hayes we all know the team needs another big. I just wish Rob would have made it a bigger priority instead of relegating it to bargain hunting only being able to choose between those bad fitting players left available.

Ugh but I can’t stand Myers Leonard.

We could use a strong, active center to guard Jokic in the playoffs.
Dwight Howard fought him tooth and nail all over the court.
Who do we have now or who could we get that can at least make Jokic work for every basket and rebound?

How many guys are there currently in the NBA that can actually do that?

Let’s find them and bring them back — or up — into the NBA! Are there no young, huge, physically-punishing, defensive-minded Monsters left in the G-League? Even if that’s all they can do, just enough to give a joker Pause.

It's a little over a month until training camp starts.
It might be smart for the Lakers to bring in Leonard, Biyombo, TT, etc on training camp contracts...and see if one of them can earn a spot.
they could also compete vs Castleton
best guy gets a contract
