Lakers say LeBron James will miss Tuesday’s game with the Clippers due to an ankle injury. Jarred Vanderbilt (heel) back on the injury report.

lol. The Klutch era is so exhausting.

It’s literally a repeat of Cleveland. Only the Heat really benefited from the prime LeBron ready to win years where he could carry the team.

Now it’s just sad. Shuffle coaches, shuffle role players and blame them with LeGrandpa no longer capable of carrying a team. But hey if they get Murray or LaVine, just the new guy ultimately getting blamed when they need a new scapegoat

Geez, 24 hours from tip and Lakers already waived the white flag? Guess the organization was content with taking the first 2 against he Flips.

This game will be more about showcasing guys like AR/DLO/Rui to other teams

I’m a fan of sitting Lebron every 3-4 games but why not against the bad teams instead of the good teams?

Already know what this is. Dont play and "RUI" hint hint and "DLO" hint hint and other "players" can get more value..umm "runnnn". And if we lose? Fans will scream to the mountains trade everyone HOW DARE THEY LOSE TO THE CLIPPERS..the sky is falling! We win? Trade value goes sky high for players to trade..pfft everybody can see through this. What other plays in his book he got? Bet You if this game was for a scoring/reb/assist/heck even perfect attendance title he would be playing...lol.

You know why. Playing the Clippers is too much effort.

Why did we play Lebron against a team that was trying to lose? We rested Lebron before the OKC game so he was able to help us win that game. We should have rested Lebron last game in preparation for this Clipper game. Ham is an idiot. It's so annoying how he has mismanaged Bron and AD's minutes even in blown out games.

Maybe Ham was afraid he might get fired if he lost to the Blazers so that's why he threw Lebron out there.

I prefer the strategy they took this weekend. Play the stars in the most winnable games. Otherwise, you risk losing the winnable game and can easily lose a game you're not favored in, even when your stars play. I thought resting AD against the Rockets last year was so idiotic.

Of course, you still need to win the winnable games or you're in the same boat. That's why the Brooklyn game was such a disaster.

The funny thing is even if we lose tomorrow without LeBron and LeBron comes back against Chicago that game isn’t gonna be easy at all, the Bulls are firing on all cylinders and we might take a major step back in the next couple of days

It took a big effort from the Suns to beat the Bulls, I hope karma doesn’t bite us in the ass for sitting LeBron out tomorrow, if we go 0-2 in the next 2 games .. Jeanie needs to sell the team

why not sit vs the blazers? Hes just doesnt come off as being overly competitive in his old years. No amount of rest now is going to make him rested for the playoffs.

Maybe this will be one of those games where the undermanned underdog wins the game. Like the Lakers tend to give up all too often each season.

Sadly, I am feeling my fast forward will be in heavy use for this one.

If we have to play our stars just to beat Portland, then I don't even want to make the play-in, we'd just get embarrassed. If they're conceding this Clippers game, then they should just rest AD as well.

well its better to sit vs good teams where they will have a big chance to lose. Need to secure wins against below .500 teams.

Because stuff like sitting AD vs the Rockets last year happened. Guys don’t play up to the billing

I can point to the fact Bron called timeout and took himself out the game up 23 vs Portland as the announcers point out while coach still had him running out there. He should have sat in that game before that but had to pull his damn self.

Lebron has played 40 out of 44 games, really 41 games with the tournament. He’s logged high minutes this year. He’s been the teams best 3 point shooter, passer, and second best rebounder and defender.

Even the duck the clippers narrative is stupid when he’s played both clipper games including an overtime one and is 2-0 against them. He shut kawhi down last time they played as his defender too. The only reason to play is to take the tie breaker versus the clippers here. They have a cushion here of Bron trying to win the tie breaker 2/28/24 vs the clips here since he’s playing with house money and has beat them twice. If the lakers luck up and beat them today, then he can sit that game too as should AD because you gain nothing by playing it.

But I can also point out that at this time last year Bron experienced foot and ankle pain and he refused to sit. And he fractured his damn foot and was hobbled all the way to end the postseason. If he feels like has to sit, then sit. It would be a 4 day rest, rehab, stretch routine
