Since UCLA and USC both had horrible seasons, looks like the only Socal teams making the tourney are San Diego State and an improbable run by Long Beach State with a coach that they let go but will keep coaching for their NCAA tournament run.

Watching these college games makes me realize how little defense is played in the NBA.

Donovan Clingan 7'2" 280lbs UConn C. He was considered to be a likely selection in the 2023 NBA draft, he decided to return to UConn for his sophomore season. It looks like he may be a 1st round-draft pick if he decides to come out. His weakness is staying on the court. He, like many big men, has an injury problem.

Coaching goes a long way in college. The offense isn't there yet for a lot of teams but the level of defense is something to behold.

The only top seeds to advance to the Final Four are UConn and Purdue.

Well the LSU/Iowa game is probably the extent of my paying attention to the women's NCAA. Well I might watch Iowa but it's doubtful, I'm not a big college person. Anyway that was a great game. Would've been better if Reese had not gotten hurt but still very good and frankly Iowa avenged LSU knocking out UCLA so that's good for me lol

I hope it comes down to those two teams in the Final, no offense to NC State or Alabama but that would be a great matchup to see UConn vs. Purdue.

And one the eve of the championship game, a bombshell has come in the form of Coach Cal leaving Kentucky for Arkansas.
