It might come down to the last 2 games of each teams, we might have to rely on a couple teams for us to get there. Which might end up hurting us, if those teams decides to seat out players.

Our last game vs the Pels might come down to us possibly jumping a couple of seeds also.

But Lakers will have to take care of the next 5 games first. I think we can only afford 1 loss in that stretch.

I don't think the Lakers can afford any loss in those next 5. I think they need to aim for 49 wins.

Crazy reality is, even if they'd beat Indiana and won the rest of the games and wound up with 50 wins, that wouldn't even fully guarantee a Top 6 spot.

We've been gifted 3 wins that were supposed to be losses.. the Lebron 4th quarter explosion against the Clippers, and the two Bron-less Bucks wins. Yet in the same time span, we've lost twice to Kings, once to GS, and once to Pacers. Should have leaped frog these teams already if we were really a championship contender.

7-0 is asking a lot from this team. Specially playing 2 sets of back2back games coming up...

We will need the Suns/Kings/Pels to lose 4-5 games to finish the season.

We aren't catching the Clippers unless they lose every game from here on out. So they can pretty much sit everyone and be relatively safe at this point.

It’s not just about the Lakers catching the Clips. The Clips are trying to hold on to the 4th seed to keep the Mavs/Pels from overtaking them. Also, Suns/Kings are lurking in the distance capable of challenging the Clips as well. The Clips have plenty at stake to continue to compete for at this point, like HCA 1st rd and 5/4 bracket vs 6/3 bracket.

Are they willing to rest everyone in risk of that HCA? DAL is 2 GB of them from that 4th seed, and Flippers will then lose HCA.

Jazz no Lauri and Clarkson tonight… They only have 1-2 easy games left after tonight.

They play Clippers/Knicks/Celtics next 3 games. I can see the Celtics mailing that game in to mess with us. Same with the Clippers.

They also play the Suns and Thunder.

Like I said Sunday...

I'm not surprise at all they sitting Kawhi vs the Kings.

Late season games against strong teams are also winnable as teams will start resting key players. Its not very likely that Kings or Suns will drop below Lakers. Its hard to avoid the 9-10 elimination game now.

nope. standings are too close for them to rest specially if they want a homecourt advantage.

Philly is just a completely different team when they have Embiid running circles on everyone, the dynamic difference is large

Wiz beat Bucks today. Should we be afraid of the Wiz or do we think the Bucks are just terrible? Yea, I'm thinking the latter. Nothing to worry about. Rest Bron.

Doc Rivers continues to reap the benefits of winning that championship with prime KG.

No, we're supposed to be cheering for them today. At least for another 1 hour today.
