SHOUDLVE DRAFTED OKAFOR!!!!

NGL, that year I wanted us to draft Okafor since according to Woj we were gonna sign Rondo a max deal that year. Could've been Rondo/Kobe/Randle/Okafor. lol

He is the perfect 3rd option for us. A lot of guys come over to a team as a third option and struggle to find themselves, and end up producing less.

It seems like DLo is adept at picking his spots, and running the offense for stretches of time. He is shooting less often, but at a much higher effectiveness. This season he is shooting 42.1% and last season in short time with us his average was 41.4%. It isn't like he is getting wide open shots either, a lot of these are over the defense.

It is a special kind of player that comes here and improves their 3 point shooting, we are accustomed to seeing people come over here and forget how to shoot. That alone is worthy of praise.

Derrick White is widely considered more valuable than DLo leaguewide and makes 17m. I think 20-25 is fair for DLo. DLo is a 3rd to 5th option, much like White, but has less defensive value.

Also, DLo averages 18 and 6.

Yeahh lets see
Darius Garland makes 39 mil
Jrue Holiday makes 33 mil
VanFleet makes 42 mil
Dejunte Murray makes 28 mil
Brunson makes 26 mil
Rozier makes 24 mil
Brogdon makes 22 ml
Ben Simmons getting 36 mil.....

yeahhhh but why go 20-25 when we can MAKE IT 20gs a year on a 2 year contract and umm maybeeeee the 2nd year with a team option....yeahhhhh that'll work.

I think he will go for it especially if we say "We the LAKERRRRS!!!"... right?
and.. and..andd..the BONUS to really get him on board is say "ANOTHER YEAR WITH HAM!"

I thought uou would rather give him 20k instead...because i know that's a deal you would like....right? I showed you a list of what PGs are making and you rather give him 2-5 mil more than what he already getting which was a discount...smh. Are you good?

DLo as third banana, where would you put him?

Aaron Gordon/MPJ?
Middleton? Or maybe Dame is the 3rd guy now?
Harden?
Beal?
Porzingis?
DiVicenzo?
Klay?
Gobert?
Giddey?
Hardaway JR?
Monk?
McCollum?
Tobias?
Herro?
McConnell?
Capela?
Suggs?
Garland?
Caruso?
DeJountay/Bogdan Bogdanovich?

I'd like him back, I'd be willing to go 3 years $75 million, I think it really depends if someplace like Orlando is going to offer him the bag.

If this is for me

I showed a list of ALL PGs. Are those players in your list all PGs? nope

I showed what PGs were making in the NBA..Are all the ones making more than DLO better or done something more? nope...he has even beat some of those PGs in the playoffs... sooo why should he take less again this time around when doing better?

They’re playoff 3rd options, some PG some not

i don't think DLO will chase the money to be the no. 1 option on a bad team. he's been there before with the Nets. as long as the Laker money is in the ballpark of other bids, he'll sign with us. unless his distaste for Darvin Ham magnifies over this last couple months.

Let’s see how he does in the play-in/playoffs first

Of those names? DLO is top 3.

Particularly this year thus far where he is the best high volume three point shooter in the league.

So the top 3 of that list would be Porzingis, MPJ and DLO and then Gordon would come after.

When healthy Herro would be up there too, but he hasn't been.

And if we're being drank, there's a lot of guys in that list I'd rank Austin Reaves over too.

It's nice seeing him ball out on this team. A lot of us were on the fence about him his first 2 years in the league, it's good to see the FO made a good selection with that 2nd pick. He's not Steph Curry but he's at close as it gets IMO

He's not Steph no. But as a high volume three point shooter he's the best one in the league(this season) and only in his mid 20s, so that's pretty good to have in comparison

Cant wait to pair him with Mitchell next season Three pointers and explosive scoring galore. Most exciting backcourt since Van Exel - Jones. The "point guards" paired with Kobe were all meh....

God willing, Dlo shoots like this if we are fortunate enough to make the playoffs and eventually face Denver. Would be hard to see how we could possibly get swept if we are healthy and Dlo is rolling like he has been for most games since the all star break.

We wouldn't lose in 4 but probably 5 or 6. We still have not figured them out. But if Jamal Murray is unable to be at his best, it could easily be the Lakers in 5 or 6. Murray is key

If D'lo shoots like this the Lakers beat Denver in 4. He didn't even need to be all that good to beat them last year. He just provided next to nothing. He has a crazy high ceiling and I'm excited to see how he bounces back in the playoffs.
