The LA 2028 team should have:

Flagg
Edwards
Adebayo
Holmgren
Booker
Brunson
Tatum
Jaylen Brown
Haliburton
Morant (assuming he stays outta trouble)
Lamelo Ball (assuming health)

That’s 11 quality prime players.

Nice work lady Ballers! Their 5 billionth win in a row, I shall watch the broadcast this morning.

Man, they got lucky
I'm not usually one of the "ref's are fixing it crowd" but it was blatant in the USA Women's vs France game. A'ja got fouled about 4 times on 1 play with no calls, and on the other end USA got a clean block that was called a foul.
that was just 1 instance
the home cooking in this game was almost like "USA men beat France, so lets fix it so the French women win"

of course, it didn't help that the USA just didn't play well.

Yeah now that I've watched it I was even more

+ Paolo, Mobley, Mitchell, Fox, J Williams, Bridges, Hart, Cade, Zion, Herb Jones

Depending on how they want to build the squad, so many options. Personally though, I'm not bring Lamelo anywhere close to Olympics.

4 years is a long time in the NBA… Lamelo will be a completely different player by 2028. So as many of those young guys.

But that team is lacking veteran leadership. AD/KD even Curry might possibly lead that team.

Add AD who has said he's probably going to play again in 2028.

Gabby Williams was so impressive for France. It's too bad she's not in the WNBA because European teams pay more. Hopefully salaries will go up.

Hopefully it makes more people acknowledge her greatness as well and not just focus on Caitlin.

That last shot by Gabby though, edge of seat stuff.

I guess it's just me but that women's gold medal game was one of the worst games I've ever seen . Countless unforced turnovers, USA giving up multiple offensive rebounds on what felt like every possession, brick after brick after brick from 3 and seemingly every open or mildly contested layup. It looked like a bad day at the rec center especially in the 1st half. Just painful to watch especially in contrast with the men's gold medal game.

Steve Kerr "not expected to continue" as head coach of Team USA, per @TheSteinLine.

Erik Spoelstra and Ty Lue are frontrunners to replace Kerr.

Spoelstra is a vastly superior coach to Kerr.

If Team USA's average margin of victory is less than 10, then you're a bad coach. It isn't about the gold medal, it's about how much Team USA demolishes the opponents. Kerr is and has always been garbage. I would love to see Spo replace Kerr.

I don't think the problem is the coaching. Spo was there to give his input on what should be done. It's hard to throw guys together at the last minute and play teams that have history and familiarity playing together as well as experience playing in FIBA. Someone like Tim Duncan looked like a scrub on Team USA because he wasn't able to adjust in a short period of time.
