Hopefully he sees 3-5 minutes in the 3rd. I know he'll be able to make a difference if given the chance.

Ok Vando didn’t play all game I get it can ruin the offensive rhythm

But that last play with him guarding Murray, Murray just can’t shot over him like Reeves

I mean would have been too risky to just have him guard Murray that last play ?

Needed him badly. Signed him long term.

He's gonna need to be healthy next season.

Mike Bresnahan on the Lakeshow Podcast: not sure if Vando will be ready by training camp and preseason. He opted not to undergo surgery in the offseason. Nothing concrete about Vando yet.

Other highlights: Gabe and Rui are 100% and ready to go, JJ is very excited about what Max can do this season, Dalton Knecht bulked up this summer.

Not what was said. He said Vando didn't have a procedure in-season, which we all already knew because he was trying to make it back for the Playoffs, he has no clue what he's done in the off-season and doesn't have much information or updates on anything, so he is saying he himself doesn't know if Vando will be ready, but also that he doesn't have much information on it.

So basically "This is the information I had months ago(which we all had), but I don't have any updates, this is my assumption."

Gotta listen to the words of journalists nowadays and catch the double talk.

Oh really? I need to go listen to the whole thing I was half listening while working. But if it's just a remix/restate of what we already knew that's groovy.

It was a statement full of "I think" and "I don't have much info" and stuff we knew months ago being contextualized as if it's currently relevant. The same old same old, that people will pick up and run with, when in actuality he has no new information.

The usual journalism cocktail of "We'll see | I'm not sure | There's nothing concrete." but trying to be said as if they have something new to say. He pretty much started with "He didn't have a procedure in season in February." which is stuff we already knew, and then wasted time saying he had no new information but giving his own opinions from that lack of information, that is now being run with as if it was an update. When his real update was that he had no update.

Journalists pull this crap all the time to try to insert themselves into the narrative as if they gave an update when they gave nothing, but people fall for that every single time.

Typical Lakers FO shadiness when it comes to reporting of players injuries/timelines. Same crap with Nunn/Gabe/JHS/Reddish/CWood.

Oh snap. I didn't know that NBA teams were required to report player injury/illness status to the public... Or, perhaps you hold a position of privilege? If that's the case, I for one would greatly appreciate it if you would contact the Lakers...or, if need be, the NBA head office...and get to the bottom of this foul play! Much thanks, and godspeed!

He doesn't know, because he hasn't been given any updates. The rest of what he says is his assumptions.

Damn, the Vando lack of definity regarding injury return is shaping up mysteriously like Nunn/Gabe/CamRed/JHS/Wood. Is the Lakers’ front office shady?

(I see ya Smooth!!!)

I wonder if the Lakers' knowledge of his injury led to the reports of him being on the trade block?

He's not going to have trade value as a specialist on a long-term deal though.

It's nice to see how many people didn't pay attention to the fact that MB didn't give any update on Vando. Just regurgitated info we already knew and then followed that with his assumptions and people ran with it like he gave a real update.

All he said was

Vando didn't get a procedure in February. We knew that because it was during the season and he was trying to come back for the Playoffs. This isn't new, and people posting it like he said off-season instead of in-season are being irresponsible.

And other than that MB just gave his own assumptions because he admittedly doesn't know anything about where the situation stands now.

Pay attention to journalists telling you they know nothing or telling you what they 'think', that means it's their opinions based on what they know and MB admittedly knew nothing, so there isn't much to take from what he said.

Ok. So, you're only allotted one "turn table" per hour, sir. You spent that allotment already. So, please wait for the refresh timer to queue. Please, and thank you.
