Would be great entertainment.

I wish they would start him.Dlo doesn't get us anywhere so if player dev is the primary focus put bron jr out there.

He isn’t a PG.

Player development isn't the primary focus. Winning before the window of opportunity completely closes is.

THT to me looks better than Bronny by a lot in those clips, but we all knew that in those 1 on 1 situations THT was better anyway. We're not going to be asking Bronny to score that way. THT has great NBA body but he can't shoot from outside well enough. That's why he's struggling to get a new deal in the NBA.

The things that will make or break Bronny's NBA career

3 point shooting.
Defense.

Ball handling.
Height.

Pelinka was clear that player dev was key. You don’t go into a year where it is clear that the west got better, hire a zero experience rookie coach ( though I like him), make zero significant moves, expect our 2 stars, who only played more than 65 games once to do it again, which still got us beat in the first round and expect to compete for a ring. I am a firm believer in that anything is possible, but that works for everyone and anything.

ist funny how our window is still open yet some say because of their player departures the nuggs window is closed. It took a superteam to beat jokic in the olympics.i know its not apples to apples but that doesn't seem to matter when discussing our guys.

Work ethic comes a long way for players becoming a useful/quality player in the NBA, they didn’t just draft him cause he is LeBron’s son, this isn’t some sitcom movie, Jeanie talking about how hard he works should bring us excitement, it’s really hard for players to have work ethic nowadays especially with social media and entertainment stuff going on

Yes, they did.

He'll have work ethic though and be in the G-league the majority of the year and we hope he'll become something that can be used in the NBA.

I think the Lakers will let him have a run in training camp/preseason to see if he can add anything to the team this year or assign him to G League, 1 of the guys on ESPN 710 said he can help the team in limited minutes this year and I completely agree with him, not everyone is like JHS

JHS is a better player than Bronny James currently.

No one serious(as in not an ESPN analyst) is under the illusion that Bronny is actually going to get minutes at the NBA level this year if all guards are healthy.

I agree that JHS...for all his trails/tribulations...is a better player that Bronny, currently. I also agree that Bronny was drafted by the Lakers, solely because of LeBron.

That said, that doesn't mean that Bronny doesn't have talent/potential. Nor does it negate that he was worthy of a late second round pick. Full context, he was drafted at 55... That's almost undrafted. Guys picked in that range are all just "hopefuls", who aren't going to see a lot...or, most times, any...time with their parent ball club. They're either stashed overseas, or G-Leaguers. The same will be said for Bronny.

The only exception that Bronny received that was controversial/unusual, was that he was signed to a multi-year guaranteed contract.

This is 95% of the reason why they drafted this specific player. Some people think LeBron forced them to, but in reality Rob and Jeanie are breaking down his door with these ideas to make the Lakers brand more of a money-making spectacle.

The reason why they drafted him isn't important in the long run at all though. If he's a good basketball player, he'll prove it. If not, he won't, and he'll be out of the league. I think he's actually a really intriguing prospect and a no-brainer at #55.
