Pick up Fultz on a minimum contract or keep the open roster spot for the waiver wire. You also keep Dlo’s expiring and a FRP for the trade deadline in case something comes up.
Pelicans do this trade because they may lose BI for nothing and it appears this contract dispute may become an even bigger issue if times goes on. They get another laker FRP as well.
Another possible trade would send
BI, Trey Murphy to LaL
Rui, Vando, Gabe, JHS 2FRP, 2SRP to NOP
Again adding Fultz to the roster as the backup 1 on a min.
Murphy may be undersized at the 3/4 but I think he could fill Vando’s role. Not sure if NOP is willing to let him go…

Does this trade make us better?
I think so…
Ingram for just Rui/Gabe/Vando is pure pipe but then you decide to make a 2K fantasy scenario by including guys like Alvarado and Murphy? 🤣

So the Pelicans will trade us back the centerpiece of the AD trade in exchange for garbage and one first round pick? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Not sure if you guys have been paying attention but BI wants a max extension and the pelicans aren’t giving it to them. BI missed their mini camp, and posted a cryptic message this past week. He seems disgruntled and they seem like they are ready to move on from him. The longer they wait to move him, the lower the price will get. Looks like it may get messy as well.
So, if the pelicans don’t want to pay BI who is willing.
They have CJ, Murray, two upcoming 3&D wings coming off the bench, and Zion. I think 1FRP is a haul for someone they may leave for nothing. _________________ “like I never left”
Our draft picks are very valuable at this point since we have a very small windows before lebron leaves and we're in the lottery again.
Pelicans will lose BI for nothing. Seems like a win-win for the pelicans to me. They can take some of those draft picks along with rui and vando to bring in a center which is what they really need. _________________ “like I never left”
If teams wanted our scraps for borderline all-star talent, Rob would have done something by now. He has to be in desperation mode considering this is the last year he has to make something happen. Plus, BI is even more injury prone than AD if such a thing was even possible, and that's pretty much the only reason teams don't want to max him. _________________ Yi Jianlian Fanboy.
