Looks like he wants to run a 9 man rotation.

He doesn't mention Knecht but I think you have to play this guy as he is an older rookie and probably best scorer off the bench (besides max).
DLO / Gabe
Reaves / Max
Rui / Knecht
Lebron
AD / Hayes
And when Vando comes back, it becomes a 10 man or Hayes gets faded out a bit I suppose. When Wood comes back I'm not sure what they will do. Maybe he won't go with Knecht but to bench him I think would be a mistake. |

I think the biggest decisions he'll have to make during the season is if he'll stick with DLo, Rui and/or AR when they're slumping or not.
Ham didn't, and it was probably the wrong decision.
With the roster construction as is, the Lakers are better off just riding them through the slumps and hope they get through it sooner because of it.
They may be near useless when they're slumping because of the lack of defense, but the players below them aren't that much better even when the mid 3 are slumping.
The Lakers are probably talking L's regardless of the lineups in those situations, and I think the Lakers maximize their W output by just trying to get out of the slumps as quickly as they can. |

Huh?  he in Cali with me (us?), all we need is a drivers license. Of course the other license is incentivized by the discounts offered through it. |

Guess it has to be. Would love to see Christie subbed in early for Reaves, and then Vincent/ Reaves subbed in for Russell/ Christie. I really like those two pairings offensively & defensively. |

| Reading about JJ's disappointment the team didn't execute theor switching principles in the first game of the preseason, I wouldn't be surprised if Lewis or Reddish never see a meaningful minute all year. Don't see them executing a gameplan anytime soon. |

If we had Vando in place of Rui, then our interior defense would be much stronger to help for DLo's bad defense. Since we don't have Vando but Rui instead, I think we should start Gabe over DLo to shore up our perimeter defense.

I am excited to see what Gabe can do as POA defender this year as well.
but it's kinda weird that you brough Dlo's defense to prop up Gabe on a night
that Dlo actually played pretty good defense.
He was pretty decent defender for the majority of first half of the last season before he fully focused on being aggressive on offense after Jan. I think he just doesn't have capacity to play two side of court at full 100% whether its his stamina or concentration issue. |
