Been a rough week for celeb deaths:

'Good Times' Star Dead at 84

From being on iconic shows like Good Times and Roots to more recent appearances on The West Wing, the man was solid.

RIP. Good Times, Coming to America and (don't laugh) the Beastmaster were the 3 things I remember him most for. Young me saw the Beastmaster at least a dozen times.

I didn't laugh. I watched it last night. John Amos was more versatile than he was given credit for.

The 80s had so many goofy barbarian flicks that were knock offs of Conan the Barbarian. The Beastmaster was one of the more entertaining ones. I used to go in my backyard with a broom stick and pretend I was John Amos' character.

WOW!!

This is a surprising and puzzling article. I'm left wondering. Did he die yesterday? If not why was his death not announced when he died? Why was no autopsy performed? How much is true? People is a credible source.

There was a longstanding family feud about how he was taken care of these past few years. Elder abuse.
