This guy reminds me a little of Scottie Pippen Jr that the Lakers had and cut loose. I think he can stick in the league if he keeps hitting 3s. May even have more upside than Pippen Jr
3&D. I love it. He brings effort, energy, and 3’s. A little small but that’s ok. He has great shot selection and seems to play within his limitations. I’m happy to have him. I would pick him over Hinson btw.
I am really excited about our 2-ways. I think that they can all play a role on an NBA roster.

Curry spending the time with him last night and everything that was said, especially as Curry was his favorite player.
I hope it put in the Lakers minds "If you don't sign Quincy... the Warriors will, and Steph will take him under his wing. Do ya'll want that to happen?"
Now we develop Quincy and get him ready for a role on our team and in the NBA. Ya'll need to understand how special this kid could be with the right development at NBA speed.

No idea whether he's going to flame out or hustle, scrap and score his way into an NBA career, but I really hope Oliveri gets a chance to prove this one way or the other, on the court, in a Laker uniform.
Worst case is he sits in g league purgatory or goes to another team because we're stuck with 15 guaranteed contracts.
If he can keep this up he's exactly what this team needs, an example of how to play the game right on both ends of the court. Not just another one dimensional player. Way too many of those already on this roster.
Do you guys think he will be an impact player and be with the Lakers this year?
Or will go to g league and be more of a development player ?
He seems like he can be a legit 3rd string point guard and play a shift when 1_ of Gabe/ Russell/ Reaves are out
That's valuable in its own right even if he's not in the Top 10
Age discrimination at its pinnacle. Clearly this is a thing in NBA front office circles way moreso than most other professional leagues. For example in the NFL, a 6/7th year senior being drafted isn't viewed in nearly the same level of scrutiny and disdain. Double standard I guess. If Q or Knecht were drafted as running backs then you could make a case against taking them as they may wear down just when their rookie contracts are set to expire.

Scouting Report:
"At 6-2, he’s extremely small for the NBA shooting guard position, and it will likely keep him from being much of a defender at the next level"
"At 6-1, he's far too small to play solely at the 2G position "
NBA scouting report for QO? No! It was for the guy he was talking to after the last game. Stephen Curry

Normally, I'd say no. But JJ Reddick is different. I already like how he's all in on DK, and it has paid off. The usual suspects of coaches we've had, even since Phil Jackson... is to bring along young players slowly. Especially if the team is still thinking championship. Only time youngsters got free reign was when we sucked and rebuilding. With AD and Bron, the thought process is still a chip. DK probably doesn't have that 35 pt opportunity under Ham. Max was stunted because Ham says, "Look, Max is young, he'll be around..." Code for he has a lot of time, I'm not going to play him now. If you're a hooper, I think JJ will give you a shot.

Oh I didn't realize the Lakers had to give up Colin in order to give Quincy a spot. That's a little unfortunate but like JJ said nice work Colin, hope you land somewhere nice in the league. But I'm still super glad we signed Quincy.
Scouts see "Oh they're 21-23? Yeah no upside, they are just who they are, not draftable".
That idea needs to end. But as long as the Lakers keep benefiting on believing in multi-year college kids that continue to pan out, the better.

Pretty dumb of them to think that, he's the same size and long wingspan as Jrue Holiday and defenders like him and was known as a defender in college. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

If by the 10 game mark and Christie/Gabe still aren't performing, he should be given a look. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though."

I could not agree more. It would be a sin if we don't find out what we have. I can not imagine the FO is not seeing what us fans see. PLAY HIM.
Time to swap seat with Bronny now that he’s scored and assisted, curious to see how this kid could do against 2nd units _________________ “The main goal for the Lakers is to win a championship. All I care about, all we care about, is to raise another banner in the rafters.“
