To be fair, just because AD can do it…doesn’t mean everyone else can. I’m sure every player would love to be great on both ends and get paid accordingly, if it were that easy or possible.

34 points (57.1% fg, 40% 3p, 80% ft), 11 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.7 steals, 2.3 blocks with only 1.3 turnovers through the first three games. He's been great.

Some people claim they can't put the effort in because they have to save energy for offense. Then cut their salary 50% if they can only play on offense.

Celtics are feasting on crappy teams. The east blows now.

The end of season awards and selections should be weighted towards western conference players.

That would be nice. Unfortunately the game is so offensively slanted today, that being a great offensive player while being below average on defense usually still makes you a net positive on the court.

Allow hand checking on guards (cuz refs turn a blind eye when bigger guys get hit) and hopefully blunts some of this ridiculous offensive numbers and makes defense more valuable

Hope he gets MVP and DPOY. He’s just on another level right now. As Shannon Sharpe calls him “Baby GOAT”

I mean if we had Hart right now we'd be wrecking teams. He fixes so many of our issues at the G spot.

Hate to say it but AD's defense looks measurably worse. Maybe it's because I have playoff AD in my mind? Or is it the offensive workload

Hard to anchor a defense when your perimeter defenders are pretty much like traffic cones out there and provide barely any resistance.

I've long felt he shouldn't be a fulcrum but more of an opportunistic scorer (e.g putbacks, lobs, drive-and-dish recipient). My hope was all the offensive talent in the starting lineup would enable that. I just can't see him scoring 30ish and anchoring our defense to the level that are used to.

This guy will never understand it's not the fact that we acquired AD that's the problem.

It's that we traded away valuable pieces that would have complemented him.

AD can't win by himself and by trading half the team and picks we put him into this position now that Bron is old.

The main reason we won the title is because two Hall of Fame players fell into our laps at the minimum.

If we don't have Dwight and Rondo, we don't win the title.

If we had two Hall of Famers this year at the minimum, we'd be in a lot better shape right now.

How much will Zach eddy score on Wednesday? We have absolutely zero size to matchup with him. I hope JJ gives dalton a chance to show what he has too.

AD trade was perfectly good. Very good in fact.

The issues were the other trades/non-moves:
- Letting Zubac go for nothing
- Letting Morris go for nothing
- Letting Randle go for nothing
- Letting Lou Williams go for nothing
- Trading for Westbrick
- Drafting Lonzo Ball when Jason Tatum was available
- Bad coaching decision with players who are thriving elsewhere (see Malik Monk in Sactown)

A lot of the issues came from Magic Johnson frankly but Rob is mediocre too.

I won't even get into drafting JHS because we have a skeleton crew analytics and scouting crew. They never had a chance.

We’re running more and also AD is carrying the load like a MVP so defensively you were gonna see slippage. No way he can carry the load and we run more AND AD plays the same level defense.

He also gets no support defensively from his teammates. He can only do so much by himself.
