Man, what a season. To win it in our first season with Shohei is amazing, and the manner in which we did it was so much fun to watch.
Some guys I’m really hoping we can find a way to keep on the roster for next season, Teo, Kike, Buehler.
Some good free agents out there too that’d be a nice fit on the team. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

Hey guys
Remember how I kept on harping about the Dodgers wasting $16M on Buehler these last 2 years?
Man, I was so wrong and I gotta eat crow for this one! |

I'm a Dodger fan from the Brooklyn Dodgers Jackie Robinson days. The Yankees would beat us in the WS yearly. Back then it was WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR. 1955 was a year of jubilation. It was the first championship in franchise history. The Yankee rivalry was on par with the Giants and it was close. Being an Ol Skool Dodger fan I'm elated by the win over the Bronx Bombers. I'm on the Shohei Ohtani bus. Let's do it 9 more times. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Just waking up. I consumed as much YouTube content last night in the early AM hours as I could. Also, the game was replayed on FS1 and I watched the 5th inning, the 8th inning, and the 9th inning again. Didn't actually fall asleep until about 5:30. Still feeling euphoric.
And I see that the Braves have traded Jorge Soler to the Angels for Griffin Canning. Canning, like many Angels, was awful last year, but I could see the Braves getting something out of him. |

Whoa.
Trade was probably agreed to before yesterday and they were waiting until the WS ended to complete the deal. |

QFTOS: BRAVES
Quote: | We need to sign literally anyone named Will Smith this offseason if we’re going to win a World Series.
A team with a Will Smith on their roster has won a World Series for the 5th consecutive year.
2020 - Will Smith (C) - Dodgers
2021-2023 - Will Smith (RP) - Braves, Astros, Rangers
2024 - Will Smith (C) - Dodgers
|
Yeah, we need to sign the other Will Smith as well to corner this superstitious streak. |

Yeah, Soler ended up being a strict rental for the Braves, in the wake of the Acuna injury. But he'll be back, and they have Ozuna at DH. And that's really what Soler is, a DH. |

I've never understood the infatuation with fireworks. I get it if you're a child. But past that point? In my neighborhood, the fireworks go nuts during the 4th. I go outside and it's a bunch of mouth breathers.
What exactly is the joy in watching them? It's akin to sitting in a corner and staring at a shiny rock. The novelty of shiny lights should have worn off after maybe the first few? Tf is wrong with some people. _________________ KOBE |

Soto saying he'll be available for all 30 teams right after losing the WS really tells you about him. He's generational talent but I don't know if he can check his ego like the way Shohei, Mookie, and Freddie did. Not that he's coming here. Just a thought. |

I must have missed this last night, but seems like validating the 2020 title was on our minds:
Quote: | "For our organization, we deserve this," Buehler said. "We've been playing really good baseball for a lot of years. Everybody talks (bleep) about 2020, but they can't say a whole lot about it now."
|
Quote: | I’m sure there’s no asterisk on this one,” Roberts said after the game.
|
Also, didn’t realize this but how fitting this was that Verdugo was the one who was most vocal about (bleep) on our 2020 title and he’s the one who made the last out. |

I really was struck by the depth and sharp movement on Buehler's breaking ball last night. Just a massive sharp downward tilt to it. Even the one he got Volpe out on, it was up in the zone, but it had so much good movement that Volpe still hit the top half of it. The 3-2 to Wells was just an absolute thing of beauty. And then after he saw Verdugo swing wildly at the 1-0 cutter inside and then after he broke off a great 1-1 curve to get the swing and miss, he expanded the zone a bit further on the final pitch and it looked good enough that he chased again.
He didn't have a breaking ball like that during the regular season, and his fastball wasn't as lively. Just found it when it mattered most. |

Unlike Soto’s answers huh?
Quote: | Soto was noncommittal about giving the Yankees a leg up on re-signing him. He's not closing any doors on them -- or any team in baseball.
Quote: | "I'm really happy with the city, with the team, but at the end of the day we will see," Soto said.
“We're going to look at every situation, every offer that we get. I don't know what teams want to come after me, but definitely I'll be open to listen to every single team. I don't have any doors closed or anything like that, so we're going to be available for all 30 teams." |
