Rockets -4.5 |
Hmmm….
- Ref ignored a TO call by Lebron. Would have put Rox by 5 but missed FT.
- Offensive foul called on AD that they never call. Thinking Lakers will foul the Rox again? |

Why? Bron makes that seal move a lot. Both offensive fouls called Rox olayers just fell to the ground got the benefit of the call. |

He had the seal but imo flailed his arms a bit too much. Lebron down the stretch imo was playing some baffling basketball. |

If we can’t beat the Mavericks without Luka on Tuesday, it’s gonna get real frustrating |

You will be frustrated this month just for the sheer fact they gave the lakers all month playing every other day. That turn around is stupid as there is no literal rest this month for them so there will be games where they sleep walk in parts because there is no 2-4 day rest and cool off period.
Play every other day sounds cool until you realize a month of it means there will never be a day where they don’t either play or travel

3 of those 4 are recovering from injury. Things they can't help. |
Gabe can’t help his.
But wood could have came in shape to camp last year and he’s likely better off but as he said he didn’t practice/train so he wouldn’t get hurt looking for a deal in free agency. He signed for the minimum and was already out of shape and it hurt him which being out of shape usually hurts your legs
Vando is frequently hurt. He could have gotten surgery in the beginning over waiting to try and heal as if he’s a guy who heals like Bron but he didn’t.
JHS just hasn’t been good and was a bust pick. He’s trade bait
Bronny is here for business and the lakers are the owners actual business. |
Vando wont play this year, but at least we get to see his different fly outfits |
What kill’s me is you know thee stories of guys like Fisher watching tape and practicing shooting over and over while hurt to get better. You don’t ever hear that with Vando |
So you need to hear stories to know players watch film? Or are you just assuming. |
I’m assuming Vando won’t return as a better player which he could do while hurt if he worked on his shot. We’ve seen both Fisher and Ariza do it with foot injuries, but Vando most likely still can’t shoot which I can blame him for |

Not the reason we lost. I think we lost this game beginning of the 4th again just like Cavs game.
Bench needs to be better. They are relying too much on Lebron to do the scoring and Lebron can no longer be that guy every night. |

Players getting BETTER after injuries isn’t common. Majority of cases you just hope they can play at the same level they did previously. |

We just got off of a restful stretch where we played bad teams. Plenty of bad teams coming up. We knew we had to win a lot while bron wasn’t asked to play a normal schedule. _________________ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDfvXWXvpeb/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== |

I know that too. I’m saying that there is more of a benefit to three games in 4 nights sometimes for teams than what they are going to do this month. It’s going to lead to a point people are physically, mentally, or both tired and wore out including the staff. 16 games over 30 days will just cause some off days because of change in start times, weather, and just being outright fatigued. And the craziest part is they have a back to back and 3 games in 4 nights to end it with Charlotte, Philadelphia, and Washington |

The issue is the level he was at isn’t good enough. Golden State played him off the floor and to the bench to close them out. Denver did the same thing |

FYI, for those getting frustrated, Houston IS a very good team. Not chop liver by any stretch. |

Yup and we have hanged with them, OKC, even the last Cavs game. I don’t think this team is far off. 1 right move away. |

officiating was hard to watch this game.
we lost by 2 possessions to the 2nd best team in the West.
things are looking up for this team and hopefully we can have a full healthy roster available soon. |

Saw this on delay, we lost to a good 2nd-3rd seed level team. The refs were frustrating, but it wouldn't have mattered had we been able to box out and rebound. We had a shot, and we blew it more than the refs blew it.
We're good enough to have a winning record, but we have some holes and I can't see us beating the Rockets in 7 without some lineup and rotation changes.
Rui Hachimura had 1 rebound, and can't defend for crap. He's a power forward getting paid starter money.
DFS on the other hand played exactly as I expected. He has his weak points, he's not a rebounder either, but at least he played solid defense as the Lakers clawed back into this game. And he scored as much as Rui, which is supposed to be Rui's strong point.
I'd criticize Jaxon Hayes, but look at his contract, he's 3rd string, on a 3rd string salary. But yeah he got torched as bad as Rui.
Dalton Knecht - I still think his TERRIBLE defense is a matter of lack of experience and knowledge, not unwillingness to defend. I doubt he's ever going to be a great defender, but I'll bet with experience he could be average, not the disaster we saw at the start of Q4.
LeBron - took over the game at winning time, from his own teammates. Solid for the most part and actually a pretty good game, I just didn't like how LeBron ball played out at the end this time around.
AD - solid game.
Max - Damn solid defense, he helped us claw back, he scored, he had a terrible turnover at the end but being a primary ball handler is one of his weak points because he's still very inexperienced. Dammit why can't the coaching staff help him just a little if they're going to have him in-bound the ball with the game on the line? Like, maybe let him know he had a time out to burn? And who to throw it to if Houston accurately predicts the extremely predictable? I don't put this loss on Max at all. I do put the comeback on Max, DFS, AD.
Anyhow, I see why ppl are pissed on this thread, to me it isn't the refs though. We couldn't rebound for crap. And the defense sucked outside of Max, AD, DFS. The lineup we had to start the 4th might do well against crappy teams, but will not win playoff games, not even close. |

In a game where Adams set plenty of moving ones
Bron did call timeout though to save max and the ref missed it ugh |
Bad officiating in this game for sure. But its okay they'll investigate themselves and find they did no wrong. Lebron will get more than 2 free throws in the next one and no one will ask like anything changed. |
I really hate the disrespect he gets. Green-nosed guys like Thompson draped over him all game long and they get awarded for a floppy offensive foul that late in the game? (bleep) off, refs. |

Close but no cigar. We've played some very competitive games against the top teams. That's actually a good sign we're still growing and getting better. Homecourt advantage is there for a reason so we'd have to deal with the unfavorable calls. Onto next win!! _________________ Lakers used to average one championship every four years under Dr. Buss but I'd gladly take one every ten years now. |

We have also been beat by double digits. I agree though- beating the kings Blazers and paying back the hawks is a good barometer _________________ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDfvXWXvpeb/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== |
