I really see him as a Robert Horry type of player who can be an x-factor come playoff time.

Good video on DFS defense against the Cavs

Around 45 seconds it shows him guard Mitchell around a screen and correctly forces him left and AD helps and they get the steal (I think the video said DFS reached and got the steal, but it looks like it was AD). Plus you see how he trails the play closely so if AD didn't get the steal, Mitchell would only have a small gap to dribble through,

Around 3:10 you see how it helps on a drive to the basket and reaches and gets the steal but is still within distance of his own man if they kick out.

Due to his wingspan he can do something like this. I think the video shows his ability to be a help defender and guard lengthy forwards like Mobley (around 3:50 does a good job on post op). As an on ball defender against guards he doesn't have the quickness it seems (around 3:58 he guard Garland and you gets blown by..but initially he does stop Garland but Garland reset and got him the 2nd time), but he is capable for winning some of these battles if he gets switched onto a guard.

And he did this against a Cavs team.

This is the kind of game he has to have every other night. Like I said 8-10 points a game isn't too much to ask along with his defense.

If he gets Rui's touches and attempts, I think he can.

Nice to preserve his minutes given his age but we're gonna need him to play closer to 35 minutes going forward than 25.

Dorian Finney-Smith has averaged 6.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 4 games for the Lakers.
He scored 13 and 8 points last 2 games shows that he's picking up our system. His defense has been solid.

The formula here are :

The formula here are :

AR/Max/DFS/Lebron/AD should start, play heavy minutes and close the game.

Max/DFS/AD + 1 not so bad defender (AR/Bron) can get away with 1 bad defender who can score (Rui, DK) and will still get a positive net rating

Bron/Rui as bigs wil likely be a negative net rating.

DK/Rui combination will likely be a negative net rating.

He had me in the Atlanta game when he screamed at Max to blitz, cam to switch, and said I got him .. tat was the most talking we have had out of all our guys in ages. Rui, Dalton, and Dlo could never 😂

I so want to see Gabe, Max, DFS, AD, and locked in Bron on a string

Time to start DFS. That has to be the next adjustment. Rui subs in for Bron off bench. Both are terrible on defense anyways.

Dayum! Nice quote DFS. Screw status quo, say it if it needs to be said.

Averaging 7.4 ppg for the Lakers in 5 games with 42% shooting from 3. Need more minutes and attempts to fully mwximize him.

He deserves to ditch this trash of a team and leave for better situation this offseason. Why did we even trade for him anyway?

This trade was a swing and a miss. It didn't improve the team at all.
