Prime Roger wins on grass.

Overall it’s Djoker, but the prime Nadal/Federer 2005-2007 era changed the level of tennis for good.

What’s crazy if you watch Rafa practice he still looks top speed and good. Then you see the matches and you go oh wait he’s not moving or striking the ball the same. Even losing just 10 percent physicality is much more impactful on Rafas game than it ever was on Roger or Novak. He was struggling to be a top 50 player the last year. Roger on one good knee was still a top 10 player. Novak won an Olympic gold on one good leg. Rafas game just never allowed for him to dip physically.

And I'll point out, as I believe I stated while it was going on, that Djoker probably doesn't win Olympic gold if it had been a best-of-5 event. The shorter matches absolutely helped him, with where he is physically at this late stage of his career.

I think it's tough to compare prime Sampras on grass to prime Federer on grass. The courts got slower as Federer dominated and I think Sampras had the better serve and I think he was the better volleyer as well. But of course Fed was better at pretty much everything else, except for Sampras probably having the more dangerous forehand while on the run. And no, I don't put much stock in Federer's win over him at Wimbledon when Pete was in the twilight of his career. (And when Fed was not yet in his prime, it's also fair to point out.)

Sampras' serve, especially considering the era, was genuinely obscene.

I Love Roger (my favorite player).....that said I dont think Peak Roger beats Peak Novak even at Wimbledon unless we go back to 90s Wimbledon when the grass was much quicker. I saw Roger change his racket and leave everything out on the table against a Novak that had mental doubts from losing Majors finals entering their finals in 2014, and it was clear even then, Novak was a hair better. Then in 2015 Wimbledon, Roger played arguably his best match EVER against Andy Murray in the semifinals and entered the finals in pristine form and he still got beat by Novak during Novaks peak year. Ive seen too much of Roger vs Novak to know that the only way a match is in Federer's racket is if the court is sped up to help Roger hit through Novak. Otherwise, the match will be in Novak's racket. After Roger beat Nadal in 2017 Australian and then 2017 Indian Wells, I wasnt even worried about Nadal anymore. Nadal could beat Roger on clay but everywhere else, Roger had figured out how to beat Nadal and consistently to the point it was clear Roger was better than Rafa.

Djoker vs Nadal has a 2 game lead- However he caught nadal during his injuries late -

Djoker has 4 games over Fed- but like Nadal caught him late

Nadal has 8 lead over fed and they both had each other in their primes.

The thing about speed of the court

If it’s 90s grass I don’t think anyone of the big 3 wins Wimby aside from Federer who would have stuck to his serve and volley game and probably honed it more

The serve and volley game is dead but Federer had elite skill and likely uses it to beat Djoker/Nadal on 90s grass.

Sampras is tricky. I agree with Stu. It would really depend what grass. Modern grass and balls - Fed. Old school grass. Yeah probably Sampras but I fully believe Federer would have adapted and honed his already quality serve and volley game.

Sampras' serve and Sampras' volleying were impeccable. And you could not lob him; his vertical leap was ridiculous, and he was incredibly skilled at overheads.

Yeah starting to feel like the end is near, if not already here.

Kyrgios not even back a month

- fued with Andy Roddick
- trashed Sinner and Swiatek
- trashed Sinner more
- went on a 16 year old aspiring pros Instagram (kid of Hewitt) and trashed that the boy played with Sinner
- oh and it’s revealed that years ago he was sleeping with Sinners GF and it didn’t end well

Gotta say who wants to see Sinner and Kyrgios play 1st round Aus Open? Please draw Sinner !

I'd like to see kyrgios officially branded the qunt that he is and then banned from the sport.
