Got Luka for one pick.

I apologize Rob. Didn’t know you had it in you.

But he couldn't find a way to reject the WB idea.

Probably hard when your top 2 players invited WB to their house before the trade. He was going for something else, but either way, that was his stain

Trading for RW is one thing. Gave away FRP and decided to keep another non-shooter ball handler THT showed how clueless he was on player evaluation and team building

If you are going to blame him for bad player evaluation. What about AR/max/DK?
If Jeanie shelled out more money, we could’ve kept both AC and THT(by the way, who found AC?)

Yea but he probably knew he could not retain both players and between THT and AC, he chose THT who was obviously the terrible fit.

The player evaluation I was referring to was about a player’s actual or perceived value. He gave away players with positive values (KCP, Kuzma) for RW. For salary purpose, there’s no way around it, I understand. But did AD and LeBron told him to attach a FRP in the deal?

I am sure the wizards told him to. It was 2 second round picks(yes, they gave us 2 2nd rounds)for our 1st(22nd), not great, not horrible either.
KCP and Kuzma were both horrible in 2021, even worse in the playoffs.

Regarding THT, I am pretty sure most of LG were very happy with his development at the time, we were pissed that Jeanie couldn’t pay the tax and kept AC at the same time. Obviously if you look back now, it was a horrible move.

The thought of KCP and Kuzma were horrible in 2021 so we had to give FRP for RW is exactly what I said about poor player evaluation.

And don’t get me wrong, I was happy about THT’s development but as soon as I learned we were getting RW, I knew THT should not be on the team. They should either gave the money to Caruso or traded him when his value was high. Pelinka did neither of them.

KCP shot 21% from the 3 in the playoffs, Kuz was 17%.

Lol @ people saying all Rob did was say yes.

It’s clear him and Nico have had dialogue for a long time. (Past month?) also have had a relationship for years.

The way he worked that into getting Luka and not giving up much needs to be commended. One thing is for certain, Rob is an elite negotiator.

You can’t discredit him when you want and then also not give him credit when he pulls something off. It’s unfair. Rob was absolutely brilliant on this deal, he saved the franchise and also sent AD somewhere where his talent won’t be wasted the next 2 years as Bron fades away.

If Rob is somehow able to get out of Bron now for a solid piece and is able to get him to waive his NTC..he will have 100% earned an extension.

haters are going to hate.
i have no problem giving rob credit when credit is due, but some posters are just going to hate.

It’s the LeBron fan boys that don’t want to give credit to Rob.

It’s pretty clear when Rob is operating vice when he is handcuffed by Klutch.
