I went back at least 6 pages in the history and saw nothing in regard to the LA Kings.

27-17-6, 60 points so far this season very respectable.

Anze Kopitar leading the team in assists, 19th season in the NHL, 2 time Stanley Cup Champion and only has played for the LA Kings.

Any Kings fans out there still?

I like the Kings even more than the Dodgers (and Lakers), if that tells you anything. We won tonight but this road trip was a struggle, and though we have a good defense (Doughty just returned) and though goaltender Darcy Kuemper has been great, scoring goals has been a big problem, especially lately. Like the NBA, the trade deadline is fast approaching. It will be interesting to see if we do anything to try to add a pure goal-scoring type. The power play has been atrocious (where a true sniper would be useful), and we've lost in the 1st Round of the playoffs for 3 seasons in a row, all to the Oilers, of course.

I watch them as much as I can from where I am. I’ve been focusing on watching hockey now that football is done (don’t really watch much NBA these days, as the game has become duller than it used to be, but I may watch the Lakers now after that crazy trade), but it’s mostly been the Kraken, my adopted second team.

KCAL picked up some games since they don't really have any sports programming anymore.

I never really followed hockey but happened to catch that come back in the playoffs years ago. I think I'll watch some games. LA sports has me over the moon right now.

Ever since ESPN+ started broadcasting NHL games, I've been really into hockey, coinciding with me losing interest in the National Three Point Shooting Association.

I mostly watch the Kings and also the Oilers.

But in terms of just watching games as a neutral, I always try to catch the Canadian teams play because their broadcasts are outstanding. Every game is a big event and their analysts are all great.

If you haven’t done so already, go to an NHL game. It is by far the best sport to watch live. And hockey crowds are the most fun group of sports fans.

That's what I hear! My friend is a big Kings fan and goes to watch them when they play in Anaheim. He raves about the experience.

And to your point about hockey crowds...that's been my experience when I'm at a bar with a Kings game on. There doesn't seem to be such a thing as a casual hockey fan. They're all in.

I think if you live in a warm weather state you have to be pretty hardcore to follow hockey. Its a niche sport that has a very strong community.

My son played youth hockey for couple of years when he was a kid. All the families were the best of all the youth sports groups our kids were a part of over the years.

One of my greatest sports experiences was playing for about 2 years as a goalie in an adult roller hockey league, back when I was in my early 20's. Imagine a 5'7, 150 pound goalie, just flopping around like Dominik Hasek, ha. (It's not like I could just stand tall in goal and make saves solely on sound positioning; I had to be active and quick.) Our team won the league championship one season and the "finals" were a 3-game series that we won 2-0. My buddy, who was by far the worst skater on the team, scored the winning goal late in the 3rd period of Game 2 to give us a 2-1 lead. It's a memory I will never forget. There's something special about the camaraderie of a winning team, and though this was just an adult roller hockey league, everyone played so hard and it was so rewarding to win a team championship in the end.

Speaking of "quick" goalies, ha, Jonathan Quick won his 400th game today. First North American-born goalie to do it. Just the 15th all-time. He'll be in the Hall of Fame one day.

Nice! When I was in junior high school, our school (7-12 grade) had a hockey club that was a mix of students and teachers that played in a night time league with other such teams. Most of us weren't good at skating. much less playing hockey, but we had a blast. It was much more enjoyable than any softball league I ever played in.

That is pretty wild.

I just looked at his career stats and he was on the Kings for 16 years!

Great goalie and a Kings legend...

He certainly made the Championship Parade much more enjoyable.

Attended a Rangers-Hurricanes game in late December in NYC during a short vacation with the girlfriend. The game ended up being lopsided.

But I gotta say that, MSG, as an arena, is not that exciting. I know they've made some additions and renovated the place, but it still looks and feels old. And the food situation is worse than at a minor league soccer game in Spokane where I live. We ended up semi-starving so we can have some decent pizza a couple blocks away after the game.

Insane that in this day and age the premier arena in NY would have substandard concessions, regardless of how old the arena is.
