Hey All,
Latest @BleacherReport The Perfect Trade to Get LeBron James to the Golden State Warriors - 1) Bron has no-trade 2) Bron probably stays 3) Here's the "what if by Feb 6" to Warriors w/o Wiggins. Can expand to 3 teams to help a bit, but here's a 2-teamer

I would do that trade in a heartbeat, but no way it happens. |

They have a lot more picks. We should ask for more or at least a higher-ceiling one. Would honestly prefer Wiggins because I think he's a solid-to-great complimentary player that can be flipped; I wouldn't consider his contract a burden but more one on the reasonable side. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit) |

Dubs have to provide more draft choices, in addition to the journey to good (but not very good) players
Not a reason for Rob to do this unless LBJ forces his way there |

SAS has been pushing for LeBron to go to GS, seems like there is whispers that there is a slight chance that he gets traded by the trade deadline |

Warriors were looking at Jimmy B now KD. You know PHX ain't giving up KD for cheap. They seem DESPERATE for another title run. If they want Lebron we need to make them pay if they're in fact willing to pony up for what they imagine KD would cost them. Lebron doesn't care about them picks and as many have noted, we don't care for a ragtag band of end-rotation players. I honestly don't care much for Kuminga with him becoming a FA but since cap space will be scarce this summer maybe we can retain him for cheap. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit) |

I dunno. This should be better long term, but short term, it is a worse team than they had before the trade deadline.
If I'm trading LeBron, I want a legit quality center in return, and I doubt if that is feasible. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

The Lakers are tied in the loss column for 4th in the Western Conference but currently don’t look to have enough to legitimately compete for a championship. In that circumstance the options could be to either add pieces to compete or give up and start the retool.
It’s anybody’s guess what is the best plan. For me tho I say go for the ship and faulk all you losers that want to quit lol! _________________ When it’s a reasonable possibility, I expect the Lakers to go after a ship like it can’t be denied. I haven’t seen a respectable effort by the Front Office for the last two off seasons nor the last trade deadline. What is going on? |

I think Lebron looks at both roster, and he's going to want to stay. If we traded AD for Luka Garza, then I can see Lebron waiving his NTC to go team up with Curry. |

Isn't this trade illegal? You cannot aggregate a player you traded for -- Schroder in this case |

Only for 60 days, which it almost will be if not already.
EDIT: It might be less. Also reading that since he himself wasn't aggregated originally the restriction may not apply at all. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit) |

Everyone and their mother knows Lebron doesn't want to leave the Lakers. Period.
Also, why would Lebron want to leave now? The Lakers have literally just given him a top 3 player in the world to play with. Our roster is imbalanced, but the extremely heavy lifting of adding a rare transcendent talent to the transcendent one we already had is done. BREAKING NEWS: the rest of roster building is the easier part.
We didn't get worse and move further away from contention by adding a transcendent player with a killer gene, such that LBJ will now want to leave to go play with older guys who are not as good as what he now gets to run with ... never mind that Luka is literally his favorite player in the world, who Windhorst (the guy who has covered Bron his entire career) has said LBJ has dreamed of playing with for years.
This is going to be special, G-d willing we stay healthy.
I can't wait to watch these high IQ phenoms play together. It's going to be fuuuun! |

there isn't a single trade out there that gives the same impact as Lebron James even at 40. Nobody is giving up a core piece to get Lebron James.
Keep Lebron he's gonna retire as laker. |

Luka will retire a Laker too if we do things rights. We have so far.
1.We didn't consult w/LeBron before the trade.
2.We immediately went all in with our trades sending out two nice young pieces in Christie & Knecht, and draft capital.
3.We immediately obtained a legit lob threat that works so well w/Luka, and I guarantee will work for LeBron as well.
In short, we immediately prioritized Luka as we should because we want to make signing that max extension as seamless as possible when the time comes. |
