Another huge upside to this trade. I don't have to think about Trashfino ever again! Enjoy SLC you bum! Hope Salt Lake City flies direct to Shanghai!

I’m still confused why Utah is involved in this deal, and why they wanted this scrub.

Always knew it would take an AD level talent to get another team to take him. I just thought the team would, you know, want both of em!

it's actually very funny to think that we had to combine AD with JHS to get him off this team.

Man let’s not do this. It didn’t work out for us with JHS, but he’s still a young kid who didn’t do anything wrong. He didn’t make the Lakers pick him.

Good luck to JHS in Utah

Yes he did! He told Rob “i have that Mamba mentality.” Normally i wouldn’t pick on a young guy bc 9/10 they don’t choose the team that drafted them. But that bum told the Lakers to pick him and invoked Rob’s deceased best friend on top of it. Good riddance.

He’s struggling to make it, but this is very bad taste. He didn’t do anything wrong, Rob did

Thankfully Rob made up for it with this trade lol

It shows a lack of class. The same class that everyone is trying to pressure people to show towards Bronny "the kid." I don't like either of them as basketball players, but when JHS was Bronny's age after being drafted last year, there was no posts calling him "the kid" and making unlimited excuses for him.

Nah don't do this. JHS was a bad pick but it's not his fault. He had no say in the Lakers picking him, plus he had back issues which are very difficult to recover from (see Dwight / TMac late careers). Wishing him nothing but the best.

Dude barely played and we're trashing him

Bronny played more dude

Def keeping an eye on JHS. Playing for the Lakers with all that spotlight can be too much. Good thing to play in Utah.

Hope he gets a chance to play and improve. He wouldn't catch that much flak if we didn't chose him over Jaquez, Podziemski or Johnson. But that wasn't his fault. There were also playes who went before JHS and aren't exactly world-beaters.

Oh give he a break. Not like he’s gonna see this. And I’ll say it one last time: if we had merely drafted him, I’d only blame Rob. But he told Rob to draft him, and invoked the “mamba mentality.” You better back that (bleep) up. He didn’t even come close. Mamba mid-tality. I’m sorry, but I’m glad he’s gone.

Because it's only classless if the person it's directed towards hears/sees it? And if you think Rob drafted him largely because he invoked the "mamba mentality" then we have bigger problems.

I didn't know it was that easy... "Hey, draft me," and the team will oblige and draft you? Amazing.

Cap reasons, neither the Lakers nor the Mavs can take back more salary than they send out. Unless the salaries line up perfectly (spoiler: they don't), you need a third party to facilitate some salary. JHS is just an expiring to make the cap work out, and Utah got 2 SRPs for their trouble
