Clippers will absolutely adjust so it won’t be this great going forward, but the new look stifled them today. Zu normally can take his time or gets wide open lanes to the hoop on the roll, but we had smaller guys getting in his way all night. Lou will counter, but this was a great game plan from JJ today with limited personnel. |
I asked this question a few pages back... could it be possible the personnel we have isn't compatible with the AD half court stuff? It's only a 2 game sample, but dang. And of course DFS and Vando are huge reasons, and the offense is about to get ramped up some more with Luka. |
Small sample size
but, I'd guess that if it does pan out that way, it's more that AD played too much of the mid-range game, which tended to slow everything down |
AD was a black hole on the court. As soon as he gets the ball, the offense freezes up, and everyone watches. He doesnt pass out of the post either. |
Without AD:
1. The ball doesnt need to go in the post where everyone watching for AD just ot shoot a jumper.
2. Rui becomes 3rd option where he can contribute more as a starter
3. The offense is more free flowing.
4. Jax will not demand the ball, so Bron and AR can do their thing without thinking that their big need touches.
The only cons here is that their paint defense is weaker without AD. |

My Laker bro who said 2008 vibes nailed it. As soon as we got Pau and beat Shaq's Suns at Phoenix after the Marion trade, I knew we were really good and better than even Phoenix that was the class of the Pacific division for 3 straight years.
I will also say this, if we make the finals and end up playing Boston, we will take them out and end their little one year reign |

Thought he sounded all business and being very careful not to sound positive about the trade because that's his friend they traded away
Luka and Bron were joking on the bench during the game though |
They were giggling and clowning around. Then of course he has to change it up for the camera |
Ok good. I didnt see the game so good to know. Just saw the highlights. |

the date they've been floating was 2/8 vs Pacers
that was his estimated date when he was still with the Mavs, BTW
personally, given how few games there are between 2/8 and the ASG, I'd think they should just keep him out until after the ASG to give him extra time _________________ Never argue with a fool - listeners can't tell you apart

Kawhi is going to be looking like his old self again sometime this season if he stays healthy, I know that. But it is nice to enjoy him having three really poor games in a row. |

Kawhi is still relatively young - but his knees are 90 years old.
even if he gets back to his usual form, he's probably only going to be able to do it every 3 or 4 games.
it's also been apparent for the last couple of years that he's lost a couple of steps and his quickness.
kinda sad, really...there was a time he was knocking on Lebron's door for the title best in the NBA.. _________________ Never argue with a fool - listeners can't tell you apart

Dunn almost joined the Soloman club tonight. I thinkt the NBA really needs to implement a rule where if you have no view or path of a ball, you cannot dive for the sake of diving. Lebron's retirement almost came early tonight. I was 100% convinced Lebron was done. I thought this is just our luck. Luka in, Lebron out. We'll never see a full healthy team. Luckily that wasn't the case. But they need to illegalized blind diving on top of people. _________________ Westside Knecht gang, Knecht gang, bing-bing bang! |

It wasn't sold out, but they had a large attendance of 17,927. Capacity18,000. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

The most impressive thing about tonight, they built a 20 pt lead early in the 2nd and held it to the end of the game, that shows sustained focus. I haven't seen this since the 2020 year. |

They only come out after wins. They come out to give us their "unbias" analysis of why the Clippers are head and shoulders above the Lakers on the court, and in the front office. But it's only if they win. Being blown out by 25, and we getting Luka soon... I think they're going to slowly try to blend in, and forget their roots. _________________ Westside Knecht gang, Knecht gang, bing-bing bang! |
