Consigned!!! This has been how it has looked to me for the last few seasons. It’s hard to care when fans appear to want to win more than the GM/Owner. She gave the darn man another extension. I haven’t spent a red cent since losing to the Spurs in December of 2023…I tried to quit completely then but realized I’m addicted…and won’t spend another until it appears like they are going after a ship.

When reasonably possible, I expect the Lakers to go after a ship like it can’t be denied. I haven’t seen a completely committed effort by the GM for the last 2 off seasons nor the last 2 trade deadlines. What is going on?

I give Jeanie a hard time but realize that she runs a business. Businesses exist to (hopefully) make a profit. But I have no doubt that she would love to win a title every season. She has stakeholders to answer to, and likely some of them put profits over winning. Not to mention that they can at any time vote to sell the organization and there is nothing she can do about it.

I understand that too, and realized about a year and a half ago that no matter how long or die hard of a fan I am, I can’t contribute financially to an organization that isn’t actively trying to win a ship. I shouldn’t even be supporting the team on a message board. Working on that too!

That has never been my issue. My issue is to spend wisely, but maximize the money by hiring the best. Discourage scapegoating, allow coaching staffs to gel, develop and maintain a culture that neither flinches at every dip, nor languishes in mediocrity for too long. |
