And here's another concern: I think Banda might be turning back into a pumpkin. Forget the 3-0 record. He's not striking guys out, he's allowed 3 homers in 17 innings, and in general he just looks hittable. Not good. |

Wow no k’s for Sasaki? And now his era is 4.72 despite Pages making some spectacular catches for him. His FIP was 5.41 BEFORE this start. I wonder how many swings and misses he has today. |

I was going to turn off the game after those 2 HRs in the bottom of the 8th. I decided to see it though. Just in case.
This game is ridiculous! |

Nice inning from Scott for the save. Went 3-2 to 2 hitters and didn't walk either one, even after a lot of foul balls in the first AB. Was able to land some sliders to finish off hitters with those 3-2 counts. Good command, good stuff, just very good overall. |

Would be a record for most HR with fewest RBI. Yet the team loves him at leadoff but so few base runners to cash in.
Quote: | Mike Trout: 40 home runs, 80 RBIs. (2022 season)
Joey Gallo: 41 home runs, 80 RBIs. (2017 season)
Harmon Killebrew: 45 home runs, 96 RBIs (1963 season)
Alfonso Soriano: 46 home runs, 96 RBIs (2006 season)
Kyle Schwarber: 46 home runs, 96 RBIs (2019 season)
Barry Bonds: 45 home runs, 90 RBIs (2003 session)
Ken Griffey Jr.: 40 home runs, 90 RBIs (1994 season)
Adam Dunn: 40 home runs, 92 RBIs (2006 season)
Dan Uggla: 36 home runs, 82 RBIs (2011 season) |

How do you finish -53 on a 50-win team?
This game today is a little bit more soft, to call anybody a GOAT nowadays is disrespectful to ... the awards and accolades [MJI and Kobe have won.

He'll be fine. He's got 8 in his last 10 games. His power hitting #'s are actually ahead of June when he starts to heat up. If he follows his usual hitting trajectory, we're in for a treat. _________________ KOBE |

Not surprised to see Gallo and Dunn on that list as they rarely got a hit and a lot of the hits were home runs. Gallo was a guy I did not want to see come up with runners on base. I’d rather see him come up with the bases empty and hope to see him hit a solo home run.
At least a couple of those guys played on really bad teams (Trout and Griffey).
Gallo didn’t hit that many doubles either. |

I’m surprised Freeman hasn’t driven more runs in during his career.
Btw Freeman leads the league in batting average, slugging percentage and OPS right now (.366, .703, 1.139). His OPS+ is 221. No way is any of that sustainable but it’s fun to look at numbers like that. |
