Tyson is fighting like there's cinder blocks tied to his legs.

His only chance is to conserve his energy and lure Paul in.

This sucks. Feel bad it’s a thing. Feel bad I’m watching it. It’s a real feel bad event.

The only time Jake Paul fought someone in the same weight athletic age and skill range he lost to the half Fury brother

I mean he should fight real boxers but this stuff sells

I didn't watch but from reading all the comments looks like the biggest losers are the fans who paid to see this. Iron Mike got another payday to last him a couple of years.

The only reason I didn't ask my husband to bet every penny he has on Paul is because you can never be sure of judging shenanigans if it goes the distance. Kind of like what happened in the female fight. I haven't watched boxing in years because of how obviously corrupt it is, but I figured I'd watch this because I happen to have Netflix already and because I didn't really consider this as boxing, but more of a sideshow.

Sadly its sideshows like this that sell now. The last Tyson fight vs Roy Jones Jr probably got a bigger audience interested in it than serious professional boxing matches.

Mike got his payday and survived. I didn't have any good vibes about this fight, and I love Tyson so it was tough to watch.

It worked. The last Anthony Joshua fight was discussed two pages back of this thread and had three posters make comments about it. Nobody cared. This fight has two pages worth of comments.

Tyson survived not getting hurt by his name/reputation only.

He was a sitting duck out there all night.

Thats more cause the shine came off Joshua a long time ago.....no one expects greatness from him anymore and once your shine comes off, you lose your ability to sell.....well for 99% of boxers.

I would say he wasnt even the same going into the Douglas fight but for sure he was nowhere what he once was when he came out of prison. What made Tyson, Tyson was the perfect embodiment of the Floyd Patterson-esque Cus D'Amato's Peek a Boo style that requires a mixture of high energy, lightning quickness, great head movement/defense that actually turned the lack of height from a weakness to a strength and of course devastating punching power from down to up. By the time the 90s started, that defense already was nowhere what it once was. Granted I dont think Tyson's style was meant to age well but its like he lost all discipline as to what made him great and became a sitting duck banking only on his power

Just sad smh. I cut it off because I couldn’t watch anymore. It’s sad to see Mike Tyson like this because I went to every Tyson fight.

This fight tonight was not great for boxing.

Terence Crawford

I love Mike Tyson, but they giving him too much credit. He looked like trash, to train that long and only throw 97 punches the whole fight is crazy. I’m just glad he didn’t get hurt out there.

JJ Watt

Mad at myself for staying awake for that.

I know better.

Mike made me get my Netflix account back for nothing

Highlight of the night: Mike Tyson’s ass cheeks.

In a way we all got our monies worth, because him kissing that man saying “I love you” and then slowly walking away with his booty cheeks hanging out was the funniest (bleep)

100%. That was the best moment of the night. Lmao.

The only thing people will talk about tomorrow is Mike's bare ass and not the fight itself

Oh I know that he was certainly not the ferocious beast (and I'm saying that as a compliment) that he had been, but he was still able to at least be competitive with the top heavyweights in the world for a while after he got out of prison, though, yes, of course not like his pre-prison or pre-Douglas fight self. But I thought it fell off a cliff after that second Holyfield fight. He wasn't really in fights against credible opponents after that.

^ I remember Tyson walking into the ring looking all menacing with DMX music in the background and then proceeded to get his ass kicked by the likes of Francois Botha until he got in one lucky right hand that won the fight for him. Story of Tyson in the 90s and this is on a good night.

Just saw the lowlights on youtube and it was sad.
1) Mike Tyson aged a lot in 4 years from the Roy Jones Jr fight. Seeing how much extra weight it looked like he was carrying no wonder he didn't last beyond 2 rounds.
2) This wasn't anywhere near the Mike Tyson of old. His punches were slow and he could barely move.
3) Jake Paul went easy on him probably realizing this was a payday for both of them and he probably respected him a lot.
4) I can see why the audience booed. That was a sad fight.

20 yrs ago, at 38, Mike lost to Danny Williams and Kevin McBride. So they were more impressive than Jake Paul. LOL!
